Love this series of books. Great source of info on fossils

Small enough to carry with you, but loaded with images of fossils for comparison with what you find in the field.

As ever the book is clear and easy to understand, especially for novice collectors. I have other earlier publications but as names are updated after a while is was a important buy to keep my records as a collector up to date including the names of the fossils host rock formation. Would highly recommend as a part of any reference source as well as more specialized books and geological maps.

A straightforward catalogue here, without any frills. A plain guide which is easy to use as a reference.

This is an essential book for anyone interested in fossils. I purchased this one because my previous editions eventually fell apart through constant use over many years

Great reference book

Best of the three Natural History Museum fossil volumes, great reference book.

This volume offers very fine drawings of a wealth of British fossils. The text is succinct. The drawings are clearly identified. This volume provides a very nice start to the process of identifying British fossils. This book has two companion volumes - British Caenozoic Fossils and British Palaeozic Fossils..
