Introducing Kenny Burrell Blue Note Tone Poet Series

More greatness from the Tone Poet reissue series. For me, this truly was an introduction to Kenny Burrell since I had never listened to his music before. I have to say, I am sold. I don't have enough guitar jazz in my collection so this was a welcomed edition. It is a truly fantastic album. The pressing, as is the case with almost all of the other Tone Poet reissues is top-notch - quiet, flat, and amazing sound! Do yourself a favor and "invest" in these TP albums. You won't regret it!

Kenny Burrell is phenomenal. Blue Note has been putting out different series of their classic recordings and artists. While I haven't had any issues with their standard presses - which sound decent if you just want a player copy, I started picking up the Tone Poet pressings. There is a notable difference. They sound quieter and more full, and the outer jackets are heavier-duty stock. If you like jazz, these are worth the few extra $.

These Tone Poet albums are the best thing to come out on audiophile vinyl! Must have albums that really push your turntable to deliver! Amazing job by all involved! I hope this continues into 2021 and beyond! Superb sounds!

I love the guitar playing on this album,super soloing and chording . Especially like the tune Takeela . The sound on the vinyl version is great . Great sounding vinyl and great soloing make this a good choice from the tone poet blue note releases.

This record is Jazz guitar at its finest a beautiful pressing present in an equally beautiful gate fold jacket. The BN Tone Post series is quality all the way if you love vinyl then you cannot do better that these reissues...

A masterpiece from the 1950s released to coincide with Kenny Burrell's 88th birthday. This deluxe heavy vinyl captures the genius of one of the greatest jazz guitar players of all time. Happy birthday, Mr. Burrell!

Fantastic reissue from Tone Poet vinyl reissue series. Wonderful sound and packaging. **lame packaging from Amazon (loose lp and a minimum of bubble packs) but luckily not damaged. 5 star.
