I am a notebook user and keeper with notebooks going back over 30 years. Over the years I have used, and worn out, untold numbers of notebook covers. The "Rite in the Rain" is the best cover I have ever found. I carry three notebooks in it: my primary notebook for recording phone calls, random ideas, names and numbers - any number of daily minutias. A second notebook is used for specific projects I am working on - video, photography, software, work - it puts them all in one place for easy reference and additions. Finally, I carry a personal journal.Added to that, I carry a number of different pens in different colors. It's quite a bit of stuff requiring a sturdy and spacious notebook cover to hold all of these items. "Rite in the Rain" is just that product.It is the perfect size - rather than a large and unwieldy cover holding 8 ½ x 11 spiral notebooks that take up half a table when you open them, the "Rite in the Rain" cover holds my preferred 5x7 notebooks. The notebooks are easily removed for writing as well making the cover very flexible. One large pocket on the left flap holds my project notebook and journal while the pocket on the right secures the rear cover of my daily notebook. There is also a pocket available for business cards and loose sheets of paper as well.The material is very tough, the zipper is extremely sturdy and the whole cover expands enough to easily hold my three notebooks and all the pens I could ever want.Truly, the Rite in the Rain cover is the best cover I have used in the past 30 years!

Works great for my needs. Replaced a 12 year old version. I replaced the zipper in the old one with a heavier zipper after 4 years to extend it's life. Would be 5 star if the zipper was more durable.

I bought the "Rite in the Rain" binder, cover and paper for my Boy Scout son to use with his Fisher space pen. I've been using Rite in the rain products for awhile at my job and thought it would be good for my son as well. Yes, it is "Rite in the Rain" , under water, milk, soda ,coffee, and anything else an 11 year old boy can spill on it which is one of the reasons I bought it. Another reason is that he is using this for scouting and I wanted it to be able to go anywhere and hold up to the wet and humid conditions here in Louisiana, and yes, even the swamp. But the original reason was because the 4 5/8" X 7" size I bought fits in his smaller Camelback and even in the same compartment as the bladder so I can utilize that compartment and not have to worry about condensation messing up his notebook. It's a great product, I definitely recommend it, and only wish his school text books where made with the same paper!

100% enjoy the cover. Fits my binder, notes and extra pen and pencil just fine. The only thing that I wish Rite In The Rain would have an extra option for is to have Velcro on the front cover for adding my name tapes, rank and morale/flag patch. I sewn some on, but hey. It adds character though. 10/10 will recommend if you need a cover for your binder or book.

I bought this case to cover my sons Boy Scout Handbook before he went to camp for the week. The fit is VERY snug, but I was able to get the book covers in and it zips closed without too much effort. It made it through the week at camp with only minor scuffs. It holds the book, his blue cards, and a pencil or two. Exactly what it needs. As the Scouting year progresses, I will update if there are any changes to my feelings. As of right now, this cover was worth every penny to keep my sons book and cards safe and together.

I used this case primarily when I was an Army ROTC cadet and it was perfect for my needs.The case is completely waterproof and water will just slick off the fabric- perfect when you're out in the field.There are two large pockets with vertical openings on each side of the case, which I used to hold maps and notes. I used the third smaller pocket on the right for my protractor and the pen slots on the left were large enough to hold multiple pen/pencils in each slot or highlighters and sharpies. This case fits a Rite in the Rain Tactical Field Book.It also fits perfectly inside the cargo pockets of ACU pants (although when I stuffed the case full of notebooks and papers I wasn't able to close my cargo pocket all the way).

I’ll start off by saying that I do like the design of this organizer. I also like that it is made for Rite in the Rain by Tactical Tailor, which has a reputation for making quality gear. However, the quality of this piece is somewhat lacking with several loose threads and the binding on the bottom near the center becoming undone. The cover isn’t falling apart, but I had expected a bit better craftsmanship.

I use this for my business meetings. Initially I had trouble finding a notebook that would fit in it well, and that I could get from Staples. Found the Design Works Ink, lined/graph 180 pages that fit in it perfectly. It works great! I only wish they had some sizes that fit more of the notebooks you find from Staples. An 8-1/2 x 11 would be nice for many people that would use it for business meetings.

Tough really well put together notebook cover with plenty of slots for pens. Recommended.

Rite in the Rain is a top quality system, this cover is exactly that. Its construction is perfect. But I wanted an A5 cover and this it is not. Making it absolutely useless to me.

Perfect to keep your DOPE, pens, ballistics tables all together but a tad expensive for what it is.
