It looks to be a high-quality item. I’m impressed by the circuit design. I haven’t tried it yet, but I will and I’ll update this review.

Purchased this to recover files from a replaced SSD, plugged into computer and although the adapter itself was recognized, it did not recognize the connected SSD and was useless. Purchase a replacement from a different company and it worked perfect, was able to see and copy all files from the old SSD. Do not bother with this

Exactly what I needed at a decent price. This little device allowed me to salvage the data from my daughter's computer that was failing and actually use the salvaged hard drive as a back up disk. If this was encased in a hard case it would have been better but than I realize that the price would have been higher. Therefore for one time use this was incredible because my daughter was quoted hundreds of dollars to retrieve her data from the hard drive. I was able to remove the hard drive and use this device to access the data through USB port for under $10. WOW. Arrived in time, intact and worked perfectly. Thanks.

I didn't expect much for $5. But I also thought if it worked I could get on with my project. Its a nice piece, comes in a small box with a small screwdriver and an extra screw and nut included. Also packed in a static bag, which I didn't expect. I wanted to clone a 128 Gb M2 SSD system disk to a bigger 500Gb disk. I cranked up the clone software and about 40 minutes later the clone was done. I swapped the two disks and booted my PC. It booted right up in Windows 11 and as far as I can tell everything works and looks exactly the same as it did on the 128 Gb drive. Very impressed with this simple little piece of hardware.

Since you have to screw down the drive you are putting in this adapter it's not really designed for quick changes, but you can swap out multiple different drives if you need to.

DOA. Tried two different drives on 3 different computers, both Windows 11 and Linux. Can't do anything to the drive, not even recognized. Thankfully it was cheap, not even worth the hassle to return it.

This was an absolute lifesaver! My laptop was unusable and I could not project onto another monitor, but this allowed me to take all the data off my SSD without hassle. The unit is a bit flimsy since it's really just the circuit board that connects to the usb port, but as long as your careful with it, all is good.

m2 drive worked fine in computer, so it is not the drive. windows 10 and 7 detect a USB device, but nothing happens. disk management does not see it, not does device manager. will return.
