This is good stuff. It tastes delicious, especially in ice cream. It stays powdery and doesn’t clump up like the carnation stuff. It is I think very expensive but nonetheless, I find myself buying it. It works well for baking, and although carnation is better for mixing straight into milk in my opinion, this stuff has a more malty flavor making it may go to for malted milkshakes.

It makes the shake a malt! And what else can you really ask for it? Better than carnation in my opinion. Good flavor, has a nice mouth feel to it.

I almost threw it out. Horrible, horrible smell. But delicious flavor.

This delicious stuff goes way too fast. It tastes awesome. Let it be noted, though, if it’s put in a glass of poured cold milk, it may not dissolve. I pour a tiny bit of milk in a cup or glass. Add my desired amount of king author malted milk. Mix the small amount of milk with the king author mix. Make sure it dissolves. Add a little more milk and stir. Do this a few more times til you get the amount of milk you want. It always works for me.

I bought this because I wanted a better vanilla malt. I did not expect to form a habit. This is diner-level, stainless-steel-counter, paper-hat perfection. One scoop turned my innocent vanilla shake into something that tastes like it was made by a grumpy professional who’s been doing this since 1954 and doesn’t tolerate nonsense. “Amazing” feels inadequate. This malt doesn’t enhance flavor — it moves in and takes over. In the best way. If you’re on the fence: don’t be. Just accept that your blender is about to get a lot more action.

I found this product on Amazon while looking for a malt-flavor product. I use it in making cookies and cakes so far, and a little works perfectly, especially in the cookies. It mixes easily, adding the appropriate flavor to the mixture, producing an excellent malt-flavoring to the cookie. It was definitely in the cake but not as prominent - there but didn’t overburden the tastebuds. Makes people ask about that quiet hidden flavoring. One of the special uses was mixing it with Wheat Flour and Masa Flour to make a tasty cookie. People loved the taste and cookie came out beautifully. (I know it’s good when the family asks me to remake it). I like this product for its special flavor it adds to some of my recipes. It is packaged in the right size - not too much so it won’t go to waste, but plenty for my purposes.

I try not to support companies like Nestle though. CTL adds sucrose which I don't like when things are added by a factory. I wanted to like the King Arthur best, thinking that spending more would pay off, but I can't taste the difference and the cost is insanely high. So Hoosier gets my vote for good value and no weird ingredients. Just need to blend it well. I did a blind taste test with a mixture of almond milk, half n half and chocolate syrup. I am just a dude, not a professional taste tester - someone with a more refined palatte could maybe detect nuances that I could not. Hope that helps :)
