A power punch for HR Managers
I must congratulate and compliment Kevin for writing such wonderful self-help book and to use such an unique promotion strategy. I couldn't stop reading the book and had to complete it while still in office. The best part of the book are those lovely quotes which have generously shared on my FB wall. I found many unique ways of engagements, concepts such as BHAG,ABCD were new to me, I will surely use them. The icing on the cake was the tough love section where he showed ways of dealing with dis-engaged people, OMG I have so many around me, they suffocate me at time. I am glad Kevin showed me the way of dealing with such people. His quiz on motivation driver is also good. I love the writing style and ease I felt going through such difficult HR concept. Thank You Kevin. Your book made a difference to me.

An applicable short read that is great for us workers
Kruse's book conveys his thoughts in a quick and easy manner, and I do very much recommend it for the average corporate employee. Many books on employee engagement are written for management to try and design utopian workspaces - this book is a tool for the working person to take control of one's own situation at work. There are real, simple, and actionable ideas in this book that I can apply without needing my boss or work environment to change. I think that by using some of the techniques and building a pro-active relationship with my leadership, the ideas in this book will lead to me having a more fulfilling and productive work life.I gave it 4 of 5 stars because the editing left something to be desired - there was an inconsistency or two and the page formatting sometimes was awkward. The content, however, is probably worth your time.

Employee Engagement for Everyone Including You!
Employee Engagement for Everyone is loaded with practical advice anyone can use to improve their work environment starting today! Kevin Kruse is a contributing author on Forbes.com on this and many other workplace topics. I was pleased to see that he consolidated many of his tips and insights into one easy to understand source. The concise questionnaires in Kruse's book help both employees and managers identify what is meaningful to them so they can develop a personalized engagement style. I love the quotes too. They are relevant to and reinforce the main idea in each chapter. This book also talks about an important issue in the workplace and life, that happiness is a choice! Kruse demonstrates that he can write a business book that is enjoyable to read.

Employee Engagement
I thought I'd just skim this book. But it's written in such a, to coin a phrase, engaging style, I found myself reading all of it. It's also structured in such a way as to immediately reinforce each point as it is made and to encourage the reader to really think about each point and how it relates to his own situation. The book explains what employee engagement is and how important it is for the profitability of the company and the happiness and health of employees. The book makes it clear that good engagement is the responsibility of both the company management and the employee himself. The book provides practical ways you can figure out what your own engagement style is and how you can work to improve your own happiness and productivity at work.Employee Engagement for Everyone is a must-have for workplace managers and employees alike.

Not Bad
This is a quick read that I, as a manager, found helpful for the employee perspective on increasing employee engagement. I've done many exercises to determine engagement that were very similar to the exercises in this book. For something I got for free on Kindle, I'm happy with my "purchase"!

Quick read, good information
Great book for managers and supervisors short on time that are looking for ways to engage employees. It is a quick and easy read with a lot of good ideas. I had not thought much about the employee's own responsibility in the engagement process prior to reading this book, so that was an interesting idea that is not usually in most engagement readings. I would recommend this book for both employees and for managers to look at to assess their own level of engagement and get ideas on how to improve it.

Brilliant Insight on Motivation, Performance & Success
How can employees become more engaged? It's not just the company's "problem to solve," Kevin Kruse says in "Employee Engagement for Everyone." Instead, there are clear steps everyone - including employees themselves - can take to make work more enjoyable and fulfilling. This is a practical yet revolutionary idea that I think will prove very empowering to readers: you can make your workplace better, and you don't have to wait for anyone's permission. Employee engagement isn't something that's done to you; it's something you co-create. Whether you run a company or work for one, this book is indispensable for anyone who cares about creating a worthwhile company culture. I recommend this book highly and consider it a must-read.
