There are five to six finger holes in each pipe; giving a range just short of a full octave. The pipes are bound together with a tar, or beeswax coated, string. Fitted into the top of the pipes are plain cane reeds. Measures approx. 14 long x 1 1/2 wide. Two reeds included. Feadog 'D' Tin whistle in Red. Plays with a sweet tone, particularly in the upper range. While on many whistles the bottom notes are weak, the Feadog whistle remains strong in the area. Perfect beginner's whistle with a plastic sealed mouthpiece and brass barrel.
