Seek sanctuary in the simplicity of this light. I’ve had nightmare after nightmare with other types of security lights. Halogen ones leaking and eating bulbs, other LED ones staying on permanently but this is perfect.No messing about with wiring and there are that many holes in the bracket that I could use the existing holes in the wall.Also with previous ones you have to go through the rigmarole of setting lux, sensor sensitivity and timer but the manufacturers of this have done all the thinking for you.Just put it up, angle the solar panel at 45 deg and point the lights at what you want to illuminate and you’re done. A simple switch on the back to turn it on from new or permanently on if you need constant illumination for whatever reason.The box says the range of the sensor is 6m but it’s more than that and the vertical range is excellent too.I bought it to light a rear yard to a stone cottage and especially the steps coming down into the yard from the gate. The sensor picks up the back door opening, which is directly underneath the light as well as someone approaching the other side of the gate. I was half way across the back street with the gate closed and it still picked me up.Previous lights have only picked someone up half way down the steps when they’re already tumbling down them in the dark!!10/10 for the sensor then. Also for 5w the illumination is excellent. Lights the back street up too and plenty bright enough to make the steps safe to come down.The feature that puts a dim light on during darkness hours is very good too. No need to worry about your electricity bill either with it being on low all night. They’ve set the light level when it starts working bang on too. As I said before, they’ve done all the hard work for you.Can’t recommend this highly enough. Well built, reliable, no wiring, good weather sealing and would light even a moderate sized garden up.

I purchased the 5w version in 2020 and it’s still going strong 4 years later! I’ve even just placed an order for another for a different location. It works all year round and it’s not in a really sunny spot either. It’s a constant “dim” light at night and then it brightens when the motion sensor is activated. It’s not really that dim, it’s hard to show but the first photo where you can see the warm yellow solar lights shows it on its dim setting, it’s not quite that bright but it’s hard to photograph. When it’s on full the brightness turns off the solar lights and is quite blinding to look at. Ok, it’s not pretty, but it does its job perfectly, lasts all night all year round, and is a decent quality, it’s not gone rusty!

The media could not be loaded. Upon opening the box, it's immediately apparent that these lights are a cut above a lot of other solar lights out there in terms of build quality. They feel very robust and well made. Installation was very straight forward. It's easiest if you remove the bracket from the light first before you screw it to the wall, then reattach the light to the bracket. It also has a good choice of screw hole positions on the fixing bracket. It comes with screws in the box which I personally found a bit too long for where I was putting them, so just used my own shorter ones. The lights have been up for a while now in all weathers and temperatures and have performed perfectly. They come on at dusk and stay on a dim setting until dawn, only switching to full spotlight power for about 20 seconds when they sense movement. Very pleased them. Great quality at a good price and I would not hesitate to recommend them

So far I'm impressed with this solar floodlight. Very easy to install, PIR works faultlessly and the light given out when it activates is bright and easily lights up the area I want it to. After 20 seconds without movement the high intensity light reverts back to a battery saving low light mode. For my particular purpose I don't really need the low light function so I would have preferred a mode where the light switches off completely when no motion is being detected but the low light is not intrusive or annoying so I can live with it.

This solar powered light has completely surpassed my expectations. We're now in the middle of winter, with shorter often dull days, and this still remains functional and very bright throughout the night.The PIR sensor works very well.Purchased in August.Just ordered another as a gift.

Just be sure to angle the sensor to an area without much traffic - on first install, I angled the sensor too much towards the street. Now that it is angled towards the entrance path only, charge is holding well

This is an absolutely fantastic light. It's easy to install with the screws and wall plugs supplied. The construction is high quality and it is well made. The solar panel can be angled independently from the light to catch the most sun. The light is always on at a very low power at night, but immediately goes to full brightness when motion is detected. The motion detector is accurate and requires no adjustment or setting up. The light is super bright and has a good range. I used it to illuminate my electric car charging socket when connecting the cable in the dark. The light seems to charge well even on dull days in winter. A nice design touch is that if it is not wall mounted, there are integral feet so it will free stand on a horizontal surface. Therefore ideal for say camping or other portable applications. All in all it is highly recommended.
