Ekena Millwork PB06X09X01DI Diane Plinth Blocks, 6 1/4"W x 9 3/4"H x 1"P, Primed

I installed a couple of new pre-hung doors in one of my rental apartments. The house is 100 years old with plaster walls. So removing the old door, frame and large casing left large holes at the baseboards. So I decided to add these plinth blocks to the bottom of the casing, where it meets the baseboard. They are like a solid stiff foam. Super light but we’re easily nailed/glued in place with no cracking or chipping. They painted like real wood. They make the whole door and casing look finished and great. Great product.

Arrived chipped, but we patched it and moved forward to avoid delays with our contractor. We will likely order for the other side of the door as well.

A great pllinth block. About 1/3 the price as my carpenter wanted to make one from poplar. These are solid, look good and do the job.Can't go wrong with Ekena.

Very nice and easy to install. Will buy again if need arises.
