They are bitter, I coat it butter or sour cream. But they are small and very hard so if they spit it out you can keep trying. They kill most of the fleas. Expect your cat to act like the fleas are driving them crazy at first, it means the fleas are reacting. They die off pretty quick. It's not long lasting, you still need to use a topical and de-flea your cats environment.

Love this stuff. Works for my cats (including my long hair fluffy girl). Had a pretty bad flea infestation a year ago and I tried everything and it was taking a while to get rid of them. Gave this pills to my cat and the fleas died off within two days. I became so traumatized from that infestation that I now give it to my cats once a month to prevent any infestation and it works great. I sometimes spot the dead fleas on the floor. It’s perfect, small in size and I have no issues sticking it into their mouth. I usually do a funny dance and then stuff it into their mouth real quick, they never see it coming hahaha.

This is our second time purchasing Capstar since it was fairly effective the first run. My only issue is the packaging. This new batch had one boxed that was smushed beyond repair. Luckily the items were still inside and undamaged but I definitely think better care needs to be taken on the packaging of such pricey pet medication.

Very impressed so far. My six year old cat recently got fleas for the first time ever and the topical treatment we were using wasn’t working. I was a little skeptical about how my cat would take meds orally, but it was no problem at all. We just broke it up and mixed it in with his wet food. I was shocked at how quickly they started working. Within an hour, my cat was going crazy because all of the fleas were moving everywhere (which means it’s working). We went out to dinner and came back, and there was at least fifteen dead fleas on his blanket outside. I’ve never seen flea meds work that fast. And I also like that if you aren’t sure if your cat kept the pill down, it is gentle enough to give him one each day.

LIFE SAVER!!! My two cats got fleas right before I had to leave for the weakened. I’ve never dealt with fleas and didn't realize how quickly things would go from “bad” to “calling an emergency vet”. THANKFULLY the receptionist at the veterinary hospital told me that typically fleas are not an emergency and that unless my cats are licking their skin raw and bleeding, that I should just stick to flea medication, baths and home treatment. I overnighted this medication along with Wondercide flea and tick spray. Within the hour, I saw very few live fleas on their body and dead fleas all over the surfaces I sprayed. It took us forever to get rid of fleas. There was no sight of any except on the cat. We used nearly all of these to finally get somewhere with killing them. I wouldn’t wish fleas on my worst enemy. I mean this is the first step to killing the ones on her then you gotta clean the mess off the cat and the surroundings. Ugh. PTSD while writing this now that they’re gone. She scratched, she spazzed, she was all over the place after we gave her a CapStar cuz they’re moving around her more freaking out - that’s normal. They’re super small so easy to hide in her food so she’ll eat it.

Amazing how well this pill works at eradicating fleas on your cat. Our outside cats had spent too much indoor time and spread their angry fleas to our indoor cat as she enjoys playing with them when they come in. We treated the rugs with flea powder, bathed our indoor cat and gave her a single pill, the next day ALL the fleas were DEAD AND GONE. We did notice that she threw up her dinner a couple hours after taking the pill so it seems she did have a slight negative reaction. It's been several weeks, she's had no further reactions and the fleas have not come back. We have kept her inside and attempt to keep the outside cats from running inside everytime you open a door. Hearding cats is a lot of sun. This pill works and it works FAST.
