RVLock V3 Keyless Handle w/Wireless Keypad & Remote Fob

This lock works great! Much prefer ability to use the fob or keypad than having to carry or distribute keys to camping companions.Installation was very simple, this model easily replaces the lock it states that it does.The only minor issues I've had is, sometimes the lock doesn't receive signal from the keypad so it can take 2-3 attempts for the lock to unlock, I've discovered that entering the code slower seems to work most of the time, but the most I've had to enter the code is I believe 3. I do have the keypad mounted about 2 inches from the lock so distance shouldn't be an issue.The other minor issue is, the depth of the latch is a tiny bit closer to the door jam than the original lock, so it takes a bit more effort to get the door to latch, mostly this is an issue from the inside, but I can live with it since what I gained in convenience outweighs the minor additional effort.I'd like to see 2 fobs come with the lock, especially since the lock isn't on the inexpensive side, but still very happy with the purchase and recommend it for someone like myself who likes keyless entry.

Extremely easy to install. Not so easy to configure the codes even though RVlock provides several videos.

Don't buy the v3 system if you plan on using the keypad for entry . I could not get the key pad to program and neither could the tech at RVLock. The numbers on the pad will not work reliably when you press them also they will leave finger impressions. The keys and fob work great... If they didn't I would give a lower rating. Spend the extra money for v4 with the integrated key pad ...

While I like the sturdiness of it, unfortunately we haven't been able to use what we originally bought for. While my husband was trying to the back part of it, it dropped and the wire snapped off. My husband who's mechanically inclined wired it back together. It didn't work...come to find out, the motor was not working. That's not the part that dropped so we know it's the motor. Unfortunately we were leaving and had to just put as manual and we didn't have enough time to send it back and for the fact that the wires snapped off didn't think they would accept it back.

First off I must say I was a little hesitant about buying this lock after reading other reviews. But I thought the concept was great. I purchased this for my new Big Country fifth wheel. After receiving the lock via fast shipping, I thought I should test it out before taking my existing handle off. As I put it together, I noticed that the red plastic lock knob was broken. I figured that I could use my current one in its place when I installed it. So I connected the wire and synced the remote. The motor would turn but would not throw the bolt. So I tried a couple more times with no success. I decided to email Amazon. I received a quick response from the lock company. They were very helpful and offered to either accept my return or send me a new one. I went with the replacement. Again super fast shipping. The new lock worked great! Took me about 15 minutes to fully install. The remote works from at least 25 feet away. Nice that I don't have to carry keys now.

Never could get it to program. Ended up sending it back. Even though I was in the hospital due to a complications of surgery for three months and didn't return it till I got out, I had no problem with the refund. I really wanted this to work, and have neighbors who would have purchased some if it did.
