!**!
Nice camera at a good price point. Great picture quality and a remote lens.
You get more than you pay for with this camera from INNOVV. The picture quality is fabulous. The sound is good. It has quality and features found on more expensive camera's, and the remote lens feature puts it in a class by itself. Some observations. The procedure to change settings require you to write a configuration file to the memory chip and upload it to the camera. It would be nice if the update could be done live while the camera was plugged into the computer. Even when the camera is hooked to the computer it still writes the file to the memory chip and requires a power cycle to get it to upload to the unit. The USB plug on the camera body is a non-standard Mini 8-Pin UC-E6 type used by Nikon and a few other camera's. It's hard to find. So far I can only locate cables with the proper plug from China suppliers. I would like to see the manufacturer change to a more standard micro-USB. Everything done with the camera body is through this non-standard USB plug; run off an external power source, download video, upload configuration files, charge the unit and attach the microphone. As such you have to make choices because you can only do one thing at a time with only one plug. The HDMI cable that runs from the camera lens to the camera body is thick and stiff. This heavy cable may be needed to support the high resolution of the camera, but if not it would be nice if a more flexible cable was used. Also, there's nice woven cable on the market that could be used to make the unit more aesthetically pleasing. The manufacturer advertises camera lens units with longer cables, but I don't see them available online. There's no door to access the battery, therefore the battery is not user replaceable. It would be nice if the battery was accessible so you could have an extra battery on charge while occupying the only USB port to connect to the microphone. There are features that could (or should) be changed or included with this unit to make it nicer, but it would likely drive the price up. As is, this is a nice camera that can be used in many ways, and at a reasonable price point. In time INNOVV should consider a "PRO" version that includes the features I suggest and perhaps more. There are likely other features that would be nice to have that I've overlooked, but these are a good start.I would buy this camera again, as is.~~~~~~~~~~~11/19 : A more serious issue has presented itself. To upload videos to the computer from the camera body you MUST have the cameras lens attached via the HDMI port. Otherwise the unit will not be recognized as a drive and can't be accessed. This is real nonsense because you can't leave the camera lens in the car when you bring the camera body into the house to download the video. The manufacturer should come up with a software / driver update or a plug that can be inserted in place of the camera lens to eliminate this situation. I know the memory chip can be removed, but these micro-cards are difficult to get in and out. It's so easy to unplug the lens and plug the body into the computer.I'm not cropping any stars but now I don't feel bad about leaving only 4 stars. This condition needs to be fixed.
