The jar does not say gluten free but ingredients are corn syrup, sugar, water, dried egg white, cream of tartar, xanthan gum and artificial and natural flavor

is the jar airtight? please only answer if you know for sure

Yes and there's also a cover over the jar when you open it. Like a thin piece of cardboard except it's white. I bought mine from Prime Grocery, however.
