This pitcher is pretty straightforward. It works exactly as advertised. As some other reviewers have mentioned, the inside filter reservoir DOES come out for cleaning, and it should be removed for cleaning before first use. If you do this, you shouldn't have issues removing it later. I've owned several Britas, from the traditional style to the Stream, so I knew what to expect as far as fill time. I actually replaced my Stream with this as the Stream only seems to filter chlorine. The longlast filter that came with this pitcher produces as much cleaner tasting water, as do the original white filters. This pitcher does have a wide pour spout with no restriction, but I've had no issue in filling even ice trays. It just angle it to pour out of one of the corners of the spout. I do also hold it with one hand, with the other hand on the front of the pitcher, thumb on the lid to keep it secure. This is especially helpful if there's water in the top filter reservoir. My only con is that it doesn't have an indicating lid like most other models to. They do supply a sticker for the top with a moveable indicator to remind you when yo change, but I would have preferred the lighted reminder. I'm not sure why they skipped it on this model given that it's priced the same as the Monterey. It's not a huge deal as you can usually taste when the filter needs to be changed, but it's nice to have a heads up that it's close in case you're out of filters.

I am so glad I found this and snagged this deal. I purchased this as a lightning deal for $27.99 and it included a LONGLAST filter. Original standard Brita filter replacement time is recommended at 2 months, however this filter lasts up to 6 months!! Will update the review around that time to let you know how long the filter truly lasted. I was so happy to have found this. I found an older style one at Goodwill a year ago and was using that, but it just stopped filtering the water one day. This one has given me zero issues. Installing the filter was a cinch. Just a drop and twist lock into place. There was no need for priming the filter either. Best tasting water that doesn't come straight from a spring. I am very happy with this purchase! Update 11/14/20 Well, I was supposed to change the filter out in August and I completely forgot about it. The water still tastes as good as it did on the first day!! I’ll probably change the filter after the holidays are over. I’m still beyond satisfied with this pitcher/filter combo and would without a doubt purchase another one!

I wish 2 filters came with the pitcher, at least. I love the color, it matches my kitchen. I love the filter for it, but costs a lot. Was not easy trying to disifer between all the lower prices brands when comparing the right one for this model. Don't like that the Britta brand filter that comes with this pitcher , doesn't stay secure in place. It will rise after awhile, I don't know how or why. So I had to keep positioning it and pushing it down before adding the water to filer it. Very disappointed with that. Should have been a better price. Updated review: Including the review above, I’ve had this pitcher MAYBE a year now, and the colored part of the handle came off the handle. Pitcher has not been knocked, bumped, nor dropped for this to happen. Never came with an indicator for the filter ( I saw a review that mentioned the same thing). I have been very disappointed with Brita this time around.

Pros: - it pours AWESOME! Previous pitchers I'd had, with the spout that has a little lid that flips up when you pour, kind of spilled a little at times. This pitcher's lid extends out, over the spout and it pours like a champ! No spilling! A perfect pour! - it's 10 cups, so, once it's filled, you're set! - the turquoise lid is an attractive color - it comes with a removable vinyl refiller reminder - the longest filter is supposed to last 6 months, which is great; if you want the normal filters, they fit in this pitcher, as well Cons: - it's a 10-cup pitcher, so, if you fill it, it's heavy. No risk of breaking or anything, but, when filled, it's 80oz of water - it's still new for me, but the lid can be in there kind of tight. Nothing unmanageable, but I have to put a little effort into taking the lid off so I can fill the reservoir (not necessarily a bad quality, though) Overall, it's a great pitcher for a good price. I would recommend it.

I love this Brita Picher. We go through approximately a gallon of tea a day. This really improves the flavor of the tea and also the coffee we drink. I see people complain about how long it takes to filter the water. I find it is worth the wait. I bought the pitcher with the blue 6 month filter and had no issues with the speed of filtering. Seemed plenty fats to me. I changed it early with one of the 2 month filters and find it is rather slow. Still, it is worth the wait. I will try another 2 month one since I bought the big package of them but next purchase will be the blue ones.

This was purchased as a gift for a Keurig K-Cup coffee maker so that there is always filtered water ready to pour in to the machine! I was told that the taste of the coffee is a hundred times better and they wished that they would have gotten one of these sooner! I myself have one of these with the same elite filter and it changes even the funkiest tap water to something wonderful and pleasing and palatable! Definitely worth purchasing the elite filter that only has to be changed once every 6 months! Highly recommended!

The taste is always refreshing and I vastly prefer it over the tap water. I would like to point out that the cover mechanism for the reservoir is unique and a very nice touch. It allows one to still pour a glass of water with a partially filled jug while still having water in the reservoir. Make sure to apply gentle pressure to the lid in order to keep the water from inside the reservoir from pushing the lid off. A previous one we had that was red was unable to do this. Also I would like to compliment the size of the reservoir. You do not need to "baby-sit" this one folks. No more turning it on for a little bit and then turning it off to come back to fill it up again once it has emptied. A single fill of this ample reservoir will be good enough that you can immediately take it out of the sink and put it in your fridge and come back to a nearly full container.
