Smells very good, like an true authentic scent not chemicals.A bar lasts a LONG time.It does help to fade age spots, skin marks... a bit but not too much for it to be a concern.Good , clean ingredients, no iffy additives like so many other soaps have.Tough to order from here in Canada but when it's available I stock up.😁 Stores very well too.Highly recommended.😏

First things first, yes, it does smell sickeningly like roses. Now, why do I say sickeningly? I hate roses. But that doesn't particularly mean the soap smells bad. It smells exactly like a basket of roses. Now, if I don't like roses why use it? Cuz it works, unlike other soaps I have tried. It will not take a week for you to become lighter, but in using it for the last couple months I have completely faded away my tan and I am ghostly white. I attached a photo so you can judge me and my paleness. It has difficulty washing off deodorant, I have found, but I just grab my husbands liquid soap for that. I'm not going to say this is the miracle stuff, now your skin will be tone or that bad tan you got with fade away forever...but it does help and aside from smelling like an Outkast song and not cutting through deodorant very well, it's pretty good. In addition to all this, I am comparing this to Kojie San Skin Lightening, and other similar products, so that it may help people determine how good it is. So, if you've tried that, or something similar, it's much better and saw results much quicker.

I really love the scent that lasts on my skin after showering. It’s a light rose scent that smells clean and feminine. I have sensitive skin, and in the past other soaps have dried my skin out and/or made me break out. This is very moisturizing. My skin feels really smooth and supple and even my husband has noticed. Would try other scents in the future. There is a tiny amt of a gritty exfoliator added. I find it to be gentle enough to use every day, twice a day. I love it!

If you are truly seeking a skin lightening soap this is NOT for you. If you are seeking a soap with superior quality ingredients, that will leave your skin feeling silky smooth and incredibly soft, this is the soap for you. I'm not sure why people are saying this lightens their skin cause it has NO ingredients in it that would do so. It has natural exfoliating beads in it that gently lifts surface skin yet does not go deep into the epidermis. This soap smells divine like roses and other yummy scents. Perfect for soft skin all summer long!

After carefully reading the reviews and trying Dr. Woods Skin Lightening English Rose Bar Soap for myself several times, my assessment is this: it is wonderful for facial and body cleansing; this soap rinses off very well; there is NO drying feeling once my skin is dried off; I truly like the hint of the Rose fragrance as it was not overpowering at all; and, my skin felt truly refreshed. I am ordering more because I do not want to run out.

I can’t rave enough about this product. I’ve always struggled with hyperpigmentation under my armpits and this product literally evened out my skin! It’s as if I never had hyperpigmentation in the first place! The beads are a little abrasive and can hurt but it could be due to the fact I’m not used to exfoliating but overall an amazing product HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

2-5 stars … pros and cons. scent isn't the best, and its a 'fragrance'[petrochemical as far as I can tell] so I was going to give this 2 stars. BUT it does give the ingredients, and I shouldn't judge by what I want, verses what they state . As a general note, if a company is accurate in marketing I wont fault them. soo .. It doesn't smell 'bad', just inist delightful, which is what we want after a long hard day ;) . BUT WOW WOW .. the scubby feel of the exfoliation is EXCELLENT .. so makes up for the fragrance. --- recommendation to makers : I know rose essential oil is way too expensive .. how about rose geranium scent.. essential oil. I know it might vaporize in manufacturing. Or if you must use a fragrance .. how about trying a another brand ;)
