1.5 Year Review: Best Wallet
I've had this wallet for a little over one and a half years now, and I can say confidently that it's the best wallet I've owned. The main reason it's the best is because of two things: size and usability. When I was looking for a wallet, I valued something small most of all. I wanted something that could fit easily in one of my front pocket so I wouldn't have to deal with the discomfort of sitting on a wallet in my back pocket anymore. For this factor, I don't think a wallet can get any smaller. This wallet is about as small as a wallet possibly could be. It's the only wallet I've ever been able to forget I was carrying; it just vanishes in my pocket. For a wallet so small, it's surprisingly usable. The quick access card strap works really well, and it's satisfying to use every time I have to retrieve a card. The other card slot is certainly harder to access, but it expands wide enough for my needs and it holds my cards securely. In general, I only have to deal with the less convenient card pocket about once a week, so it's no big deal. The cash/misc pocket can be a little difficult to deal with, but it is functional and it allows me to keep a couple of 20's with me just in case. Again, this is not a big deal to me as I don't use cash all that often. As with the normal card pocket, it holds things very securely. After a year and a half, I can say that it has held up well. I don't really see any wear on it other than it's a little grungier looking than when I bought it. I could probably get it looking close brand new if I spent a little time cleaning it. I can't say for sure how long it will last, but given that it hasn't degraded in the time I've owned it, and that it has a very simple design, I'd say it will probably last quite a bit longer. Overall, this wallet is a winner. It has a great size, great usability, and it's affordable. It's not made out aircraft grade titanium or w/e fancy materials some other clips are made out, it's just made of simple materials that do the job, no more no less. This wallet has ended my search for the perfect wallet, and it might just end your search too. 4 year update: it's still in perfect functional conditon, and it still looks pretty darn good.

A great wallet
I had my first one of these for about 4 years. It served its purpose well, but I still crammed too many cards into it. I really only use about 6 cards (incl drivers license) but I probably put about twice that many into the wallet. About 6 months ago, I decided that I wanted it to be slimmer and I tried to take a number of the cards out. At that point, the elastic was too stretched out and I couldn't downsize without having the wallet too loose. I never used the cash pocket as I liked to have my cash in one pocket and my cards in the other. About a week ago, I decided to start using the cash pocket as well and it's great. Over the four year period, I've come to rely far less on cash and as a result, the tiny pocket now accommodates my cash needs. In order to achieve my goal of a much slimmer wallet, I ordered a new wallet and it just came. I just loaded it up with my fewer cards and smaller cash stash and I forgot how tight it was when new. The bottom line is this: the wallet lasted about 4 years. It was very serviceable during that period and now that I have a new model, it's even better. I think that 4 years is an acceptable lifespan for this type of product and I was happy to buy the product again. I saw that there is a competing product that is nearly the same, without the cash pocket. That other product is cheaper, but I decided to buy this one again for two reasons: 1) I like that this company started on kickstarter and that they created the form factor. I want to support them and not some other company that simply copied their design 2) I like the cash pocket... it's a feature that I had forgotten about and just started to use with great utility. Sidenote: I'd like to buy the travel bag from NOMATIC as well but it just doesn't look stylish to me. Furthermore, the straps and doodads just seem optically chaotic to me. If anyone from the company reads these reviews, I have a suggestion: consider a more visually appealing model that possesses just the critical technical features. I would definitely buy one and I haven't found such a product anywhere on the web. In my research, I've seen duffels that look striking but lack key utility features such as full top opening, thoughtfully organized pockets/compartments and the option to wear as a backpack for easy navigation through the hustle and bustle. Just my two cents!

This is a great minimalist wallet if you primarily pay with a card ...
This is a great minimalist wallet if you primarily pay with a card and do not carry a lot of cash. The cards are easy to access. The design is very innovative and simple. I have been using the wallet for about 3 weeks. It is very slim and light. I hardly know that I'm carrying it. It makes my main cards very accessible. My only complaints are cash is bit of a pain to carry. For me it is not a big deal as I generally carry a minimal amount of cash. When this becomes a factor is when you are going to a festival/fair that basically only takes cash. While taking cards and cash are both easy, putting the cash back in can be a bit of a hassle. It would be nice if they put the cash pocket on the opposite side of where they have it, and they added a firm lip to make it easier to push the cash in. Other down sides are that it does not look like a premium wallet. My wife things it looks cheap. I tend to care more about functionality than aesthetics, so not really an issue for me. Also, the wallet becomes a bit cumbersome to use if you start to carry too many cards. For example, I recently won some gift cards. I started carrying them, and the wallet was not as easy to open and taking cards out became more difficult to take out. This is not surprising as the entire wallet design is elastic. Bottom line, I don't think you will find a slimmer, more functional, minimalist wallet out there. Pros: Great innovative design. Perfect if you generally only use cards and carry little cash. As slim as possible while being very functional. Cons: Feels and looks cheap. Cumbersome to carry cash. Taking putting cash back in can be a pain. If you carry greater than 10 cards, the ease of use starts to wain.

Functional, comfortable...it's the wallet you want
My previous wallet was this wallet as well. After a decade, it was due for a replacement. This is my favorite wallet. I keep a metal card in it to reflect RF, but by having the body soft, I don't feel hard edges against me when I sit. It's so thin that you forget it's there, and the tuggable tag makes it easy to get to cards on either side. It holds them TIGHT too, which gives good peace of mind. When I'm in a foreign town, I can put it in my front pocket and it's not noticeable to others or even me. Great design.

5 Years Daily Use — Just One Small Issue
I've used this wallet daily for five years, and it's been a solid, lightweight, minimalist option. The fabric has held up perfectly—no tears or issues whatsoever. I've packed it full and left it nearly empty, though fair warning: if you overstuff it with cards, it'll stretch out and stay a bit loose even after you remove them. My one real complaint is how it handles flat cards. I keep a flat card in the primary card slot that you pull up, and within just a month of getting a new card, the clear film starts peeling off from the constant friction of sliding it in and out. I tried to ignore it, but after five years of this, I'm due for a new card soon and figured it's time to try a different wallet. (That's much easier than a different bank that uses better quality cards!) That said, I genuinely love this thing. For the price, it's incredible value for an everyday carry. If you're looking for something simple and reliable, it's definitely worth trying out.

This one was by far my favorite. I tried the others thinking this one would ...
Lives up to the hype. I decided to minimize my wallet so I tried this and a few others (Herschel Charlie?). This one was by far my favorite. I tried the others thinking this one would fall short. To my surprise this one came out on top! The others struggled to hold my 9 necessary cards, with 6 bills on top. The Basics wallet held them easily, very surprisingly, and very comfortably. All of what used to be a huge wallet is now tiny stack of cards that almost disappears in my back pocket. It works as I back or front pocket wallet. The primary card is slightly harder to get to than the video would suggest if you have cash in front of it. Cash covers a good percentage of the primary card, but it's still not all that difficult to get out. The pull-tab function really does what is promised and lets you get to the rest of your cards pretty easily. I do expect it to stretch with use so I ordered a second one to use travelling where I'm only carrying a few of the cards I need abroad. Basicaly (no pun intended), I love it. This is my primary wallet now, and I'm ordering another to be my primary wallet while traveling. It works with a few cards or a lot. It works for a back pocket wallet or a front pocket wallet. It's comfortable, cheap, and the best wallet I've ever owned. UPDATE 05/2022, FIVE YEARS LATER: I've been carrying this wallet daily for almost five years and it's been a great wallet. It's only just now beginning to show some wear. Some of the stitching on the pull strap is starting to fray, but not in any way that has inhibited function. The only downside to this wallet is cash. I only use cash once every few months and every time I had to with this wallet it was a pain. The elastic pocket is difficult to get the folded bills out of, and the bill are so compressed and creased so hard on the folds that they're difficult to handle when you're trying to count money out. On the occasions I needed cash it was a little bit of a chore. Other than cash, the wallet is amazing for cards and I don't know that it's possible to get much more minimalist while still being functional.

10 years. Best ever wallet
I carry 18 cards and this wallet handles them perfectly. No rips or tears. After 10 years it's a bit stretched out and want to avoid having any cards slip out. I expect the second one to last 10 years as well.

Small, Functional, and AirTag Compatibile
I thought I needed a slimmer wallet, so I tried several on the market. This one is my favorite, and I've been using it in my front pocket for eight months now. The wallet compartment that is meant to hold money and a key will also hold an AirTag beautifully, with only a small, smooth bump. One reviewer mentioned that the AirTag slips out when the cards are pulled up, but that might have been an earlier version. That compartment is made of stretch material. For me, the AirTag stays in, and I can't shake it out. I like it so much that I ordered a spare just in case.

Best slimline wallet - look no further
I love these wallets. This is my second one. My last one lasted 3 or 4 years and had a good life. I keep 9 cards and 2 loyalty cards in it along with some notes, and a few keepsakes in the small compartment. Really neat and slimline. I don’t expect to find a better wallet.

What a cool minimal wallet! It's the size of your cards, simple as.
What a cool wallet! Just to confirm that there is the easy access slot for 1 of your most frequently used card. The other pull out tab holds your other cards. A small pouch to hold notes and a few coins. Perfect.

Small, efficient - It works.
I love this leather wallet replacement. Gone is the big wad on my butt. I can't say enough about how good the Nomatic is as a replacement.

Great wallet. Very lightweight, Holds everything I need. Not metal which is great for me!
I don’t know how long the elastic will last, but this is exactly what I was looking for. Extremely lightweight. No metal to scratch up things or rattle when I place it in the car or other places where metal wallets aren’t ideal. Very small and minimalist, yet easy to put every card that I need to take with it, and in my case, a single bill just in case. Exactly what I want. I can’t see why it won’t last for me, I don’t expect the elastics to be an issue, but I see some others have had that issue. For my use, I expect it to last for a very long time. I’m very happy with it.
