Beware - Great plugs - if you get the "real" On-Q plugs
I purchased three sets of the 5 pack On-Q 364827 banana plugs. The seller that had them the cheapest including shipping was Hi-Tech Media. The plugs that I received were NOT true On-Q 364827 banana plugs. The On-Q plugs have two small set screws hidden under the plug cover which allows the plugs to be used with much thicker gauge wire. I need to use the plugs this way because the wire that I am using has very thick copper wire inside which does not bend easily at all. This doesn't allow your typical cheaper plugs to screw on easily because the wire is so thick and does not bend. The plugs that I received were just your basic closed screw banana plug like you would find on monoprice (product ID 2801). True On-Q 364827 plugs do have the set screws and are actually and much more expensive plug compared to your standard banana plug. I have informed Amazon and the seller that the plugs they are selling are labeled incorrectly and greatly overpriced. The price is a good price for On-Q plugs but obviously not for the plugs that were sent. Luckily, my local Lowes does sell the On-Q 364827 plugs so I purchased those and will be returning the ones I was sent back to Hi-Tech Media. I will try attaching my own images with the real On-Q plugs and the ones that were sent side by side.I have to give this a 5 star review because the real On-Q plugs are great (although slightly overpriced IMO) and I can't knock the product rating just because a seller is mislabeling cheaper style plugs.Note: After writing this I noticed another reviewer (EMY) also noted the difference in the plugs. According to his review, the ones from Amazon directly do sound like the true On-Q plugs so if you need the plugs that have the small set screws then buy direct from Amazon instead.Update - 09-10-2011 - Hi-Tech Media contacted me and is in the process of issuing a refund. Also, they have removed their listing for this plug. They were extremely responsive when I contacted them and I would not hesitate to buy from them again. Just an easy to make, honest mistake.

Looked at many; glad I got these.
I am not a rookie to audio, more of an enthusiast, but never had need for banana plugs before. So, after reading quite a few reviews (and after returning some lesser rubber-sleeve plugs to Best Buy) I decided on these. I wanted somthing sturdy that wouldn't fall apart - you just have to spend a little more to get a good plug! They are quite sturdy, the wire actually exits the back of the plug (look closely as you are shopping as some plugs have a side plug connection - which is fine if that is what you need), and these are straight forward to connect (you will need a very small tip screw driver which you can pick up at any hardware or electronic store these days). I secured the front screw first (the one towards the plug) & gave a tug to assure a positive connection, then secure the bottom screw. If you cut the wire cover accurately, both screws will contact the wire, giving a very good electronic feed (as opposed to the bottom screw hitting the wire cover). The cover simply srews on after you make you connection. They plug-in well (not too firm, not too easy). Be sure to order the right quantity for your set up! I have a 7.1 system, but don't need for the sub as it direct-wires via an included RCA cable, so I needed 6 pairs (12 plugs). These plugs come in a set of 5 pair (10 plugs), but you can click the pull down to add single quantities. This will save you having to re-order one or two more and incurring additional shipping...like I did, ha.

These work well
These work well - I like them. I need my cheaters to use the screws inside, but that's OK. I like these - they are very solid, the wires stay in, and they work well.

Very deceiving
The plugs appear to come already wired but they are only the plugs. I think that it is dishonest and deceiving to have the picture include a wire when the actual product does not.

excellent banana plugs
If you have never used banana plugs, you might think "why do I need them?" I thought that for years, always going the bare wire route. Once you use banana plugs, however, you will change your tune--particularly in an HT set-up, where rear-panel space can be tight. No more worrying about a stray strand of wire causing a short, and if you have to move your amp/receiver to paint the room or something, disconnecting and reconnecting the speakers takes seconds.Over the years I've used many different plugs, and I tend to prefer dual banana plugs when they will fit. This set of 5 pairs of single plugs is excellent however, especially at the attractive price. They assemble easily, with two set screws to hold the speaker cable securely in place. They will accept fairly large-gauge cable. I would not hesitate to use these again.
