I bought two of these. One was sent to my granddaughter and one to me. And we Facetime and read it together. This is a great book and easy for her to read. She is 6. I will be ordering another set for us to read soon. Very happy with this.

I have a pre-K student and we work on reading at home so I wanted an easy book for her to try. She was able to read this on the first try! It’s an easy read and actually an adorable little story with great illustrations. I recommend if you have a young one just beginning to read.

The School Zone - I Want a Pet, Start to Read!® Book Level 1 is a fun and engaging read. It worked a little too well—after reading it, we ended up getting a dog, a cat, and gerbils!! OMG... thank you, I think, lol. The rhyming and picture clues made it easy and enjoyable for our little one, and now our house is a pet paradise. Highly recommend for budding readers, but beware—you might just end up with a mini zoo!

Great story about a child who wants a pet , very easy to read . Each page has a lot of animals in the picture for the child to find the animal that is that colour . Example it will say not a pink pet and in the picture will be a pig as it is pink along with different animals which are different colours The child decides on a green pet and it shows a bird and an iguana in the picture they decide on getting 2 pets . Children enjoyed the story it was great as you can discuss what would be a great pet and children can recognizeColours

This was a great book for new readers. It is made so the children could sound out the words. The words are repetitive so they see the words again, and again on each page. It makes reading fun, especially when they can recognize the word again.

Got this to help the 6 yr old grandson with reading. Jakes him think of the word rather than seeing it in the picture
