Solar-Cell 8 X 8 Thermal Spa Blanket - Bubble Type 8x8 Extra Heavy- Blue

We got this to try and save some electricity and it has worked like a charm!We only turn our hot tub on when we intend on using it which is almost every night. Without this blanket it would drop from 104 to 86 within 20 hours and take 3-5 hours to heat back up to 104. with the blanket i have only seen it drop below 96 once when we left the hot tub off for 3 days in temps below 40. other than that it has kept it above 96 and we only have to turn the hot tub on for an hour before it reaches 104, even with snow on the ground. Has worked really well and saved a lot of electricity.The only con about it is that it came with a huge seam down the middle. It looks to be from joining 2 pieces together. This means there is about a foot and a half area down the middle that is smooth and not bubble textured. I don't know if it would work better without the seam, if it were bubbled there, but it does work better than I expected overall so I didn't make a fuss over it.

Using this in our Coleman inflatable hot tub. Really can’t believe how consistently hot the water stays when using the hot tub. I can stay in for as long as I want in our cold Colorado winter nights with this cover on. I just cut a slit and fold it back a bit when I’m in. It works so well that I have to turn the heat down while in the hot tub.

Product arrived on time and is as described and satisfactory except I would not call it extra heavy. The one it replaced was extra heavy and easier to handle than lighter weight blankets. This one requires extra dexterity to get it to lay flat on the spa because it folds easily.UPDATE. With use this has become a little stiffer and easier to handle. I will buy again when the time comes.

I love my blanket and I wish I had bought one much sooner. I also invested in a new cover so I am hoping my energy bills drop noticeably and I will report back in a few months to follow up. I would say it is totally worth the money since spas are so expensive to run. It was fairly awkward to cut to the shape of my tub but I managed to do it solo from in the spa. The price was right and the reviews were helpful. I received it quickly too. Very happy with this purchase.

I bought this product because of it's "heavy duty" advertisement. It is heavy duty and I appreciate that. However, ours has MANY missing bubbles. I don't know if we just got a dud or what, but there are many places where a bubble should be and its just flat plastic. I'm not sure why. We've owned it for a few months now and haven't seen a significant impact on our power bill.

Works really well. We are using it on out hot tub while we wait for a new cover. It keeps the heat in really well and can be cut down to a proper size.

This is the high quality one folks. It is our third one in fifteen years which means it’s life exceeds the warranty period. After about seven years when the bubble tops fall off, get a new one.
