Very nice. The colors on the handle are really pretty and the blades are nice and sharp. They make a beautiful little gift for the cross stitcher in your life.

I bought a $27 pair of embroidery scissors which I like very well, but was then curious about what one gets for one third of that price. So with no moderation at all I proceeded to buy 4 more pairs of less expensive scissors for comparative purposes. I bought cute looking scissors as that is a requirement along with scissor functionality. This is what I found when I tried these "DMC Marbelized Scissors".These are sharp scissors at a reasonable price. They are sharp enough to cut through 1 layers of felt with ease and 2 layers with a little encouragement. The tip is fine for intricate cutting and they are sharp to the tip of the scissors and they snip threads cleanly and evenly. The cutting edge of the scissor blades do not look as if they will maintain their edge, but time will tell - at the moment they are new and very sharp. The scissors are 3 1/2" which I have now found to be a little small for embroidery scissors. The scissors have a comfortable feel, but are quite small to handle and lightweight. The finger holes are just large enough to fit my fingers (I wear a size 7 glove which is on the large side of normal for a woman)The picture on Amazon implies that the scissors are purple, and they are not really, they have a marbleized look that has a lot of red and other colors in it. Still pretty, just not really purple.RESULT: I will keep and use these scissors. Due to their small size they will fit well into a small needlebook or sewing book which I will make for them. They will not be my first choice in all my embroidery/felting/cross stitch work simply due to their light weight and small size, but may work well form taking when I am traveling on an airplane.

You don't get a great pair of embroidery scissors for $9. But I have another pair of DMC scissors that I bought a few years ago, and the quality of them is very nice. So the quality has definitely gone downhill. I wouldn't buy another pair.

These are so very cute AND very tiny!! They are super sharp, but the little mess of them make them a little hard for me to use personally, and I am a tiny person with tiny hands. I love the color of these and how they feel when they do cut though.

I am glad that I bought these little scissors. As of this writing, these are TSA compliant (TSA guidelines as of this writing specify that scissors can be brought in a carry on if it is under four inches I believe), and I had never considered bringing scissors with me on a vacation on purpose (I had only brought these with me because I brought a skirt to mend en route), but I am glad that I did. These are sturdy little scissors, and take up basically no space at all. My husband and I got blisters on our vacation, and these scissors came in handy for cutting up moleskin and gauze. These scissors are really great value, and I'm glad that I bought them.

These are precision scissors and worth the price, but the finger / thumb holes are not big enough for a larger hand. Also the "marbleized" coating on them are left a bit rough and digs a bit into my fingers. Not too bad, but if you are going to use them at length you will likely notice it.Still worthy of acquiring for paper crafting and other light duty projects that demand precision cutting.

Absolutely love them for my crochet scissors to cut the yarn. Very sharp and just love the colors. I know that not as important but makes me happy. Good brand. Seem well made.

Bought for a gift - very pretty scissors that do a good job too.

I bought several pairs of these and am delighted with them. My Himalayan cat developed deep mats due to a fractured wrist on my part. I was told able to groom her for several weeks and she hid a lot too from my splint. With these scissors and a comb for cats I managed to cut her fur close to the skin CAREFULLY! taking my time and giving her a lion cut for the summer. The scissors were super pointy and sharp. I bought another pair for sewing and tapestries. They are ideal for these tasks. They're made in Italy and so are top quality. I'd suggest a drop of oil on a Qtip to lubricate them so they move easily. I washed mine and dried them right away after rinsing in hot water. I air dried them on a sunny ledge in the hot sun as I do with all my good knives and scissors and then lubricated the hinge. A nice addition to any household. An essential to people who sew because they slip easily under the stitches. Fantastic buy! Highly recommend these babies.

Malísimas... no sé si me tocó un artículo defectuoso o así son todas ( esperaba mucho más de DMC) pero no cortan hilo, como si no tuvieran filo o estuvieran abiertas. Las devolví.

I bought these because I love the color and needed smaller scissors to keep in my sowing case. They are great! I've used them over a dozen time and so far they haven't dulled at all.
