Great Stuff
This primer is great for those small jobs where you don’t want to use your spray gun. It is truly automotive grade primer.

great spray pattern, works well with plastic, and hides blemishes.
used this to paint some chrome trim around the front grille of a 06 Acura TSX. It had lots of rock chips and dings so i wanted a high build primer to fill it in. i didn't do much sanding before since it was going to get chipped up again after a month of driving but the SEM primer filled in nearly everything smooth. the best part is they use a great spray nozzle. did 3 coats and every time i used it it was a nice predictable even spray pattern with no splatter. came out perfect, easy to sand, and easy to add a few extra coats in spots that need more build up. i had no intention to make the trim piece perfect before paint but it ended up perfect thanks to this primer.

Easily the best rattle can primer I have used
I refinish a fair amount of automotive parts but I finish even more 3d printed parts and this has been my go to primer for a while. The regular store bought cans end up gumming up my sandpaper super fast and just do lay down as nice as this. It dries fast and sands awesome, just wish it was a little bit more affordable.

Quality and easy to use
I think this is a great product and would recommend it. Not only is the product great, but so is the customer service. I ordered two cans of this primer, but only received one. I sent an email through the Amazon system. I am always leery of doing that. They responded the next morning and sent my second can that day. Really great customer service.

Poor Application Tip--Paint Sputters
This primer is pretty bad, possibly the worst I have ever used. The paint sputters and sprays little clumps. As a result, the paint will leave a textured surface. Shaking the can well and clearing the tip does not resolve the problem. Note others reviews with similar experiences. My advice is to avoid this product.

Best primer I've ever used (and I've tried a lot), but you pay for the best
I couldn't believe I had been using inferior primers in the past until I tried SEM. This primer sprays on smooth and the high build formula fills in tiny pores and pinholes with 1-2 sprays. I used the High Build Primer on some custom speaker pods I'm fabricating, and the drying time is fairly quick. I also liked how the primer stayed together even after sanding with 60-grit, other primers would start to chip off but not the SEM primer. I wanted to give this 5 stars but even though the end results are better than store-bought primer, you still have to pay about 4-times as much for the SEM stuff. If the price was a tad lower it would have gotten the full 5 stars from me.

Truck project - works great
I'm painting my boyfriend's truck ('94 F150). The primer went on great, no spits from the nozzle. I painted 2 coats and the last coat I used black so I can see where I sand (and so his truck doesn't look horrible while I wait for the color paint and clear coat). Prepped by sanding with 150 (lots of paint down to the metal, and some rust), then went up from there, washed with white vinegar/dawn/hot water mix, then wiped down with alcohol.
