Good bed; some quibbles
We purchased this bed because it was one of the few adjustable split kings we could find with elevation. We specifically wanted the elevation feature to deal with my husband’s acid reflux. There was a slight delay in the shipping and so Anthony, from Bed Drs. which was the third party vendor, kindly let us know and asked if there was anything he could do for the inconvenience. By then, I had read one review which noted that the user had received only one remote control. When I replied to Anthony asking for two remote controls, he responded, much to my surprise, that NO remote controls were included, but he would include 2 with the bed — which he did — so kudos to Anthony and Bed Drs. But, quite honestly, given how much we spent, we would have been incredibly aggrieved had we received this bed without the remotes. Apparently, Glideaway and/or the seller expects people to use their smart phones as remotes. When we did download the app to our phone (which is ComfortBase and NOT Glideaway), we found the app worthless because the buttons didn’t match the features. When we ordered the bed, white glove service was not an option. Instead, we were given the option of bed assembly through Amazon Home Services, which we paid for. But, bed assembly does not include moving the bed. What this meant is that the bed (actually, two twin x-long beds -180 lbs each- with two elevation kits) was delivered to our front door on a pallet. My husband and I muscled the boxes inside our front entry, but there was no way I could help my husband carry them upstairs. And since this was covid era, we were limited in whom we could get to help us — but we did in fact find a couple of men to help. Then, our assembly service had to postpone their visit because one of the guys was sick. And after my husband discovered that the assembly guys hadn’t put together a Glideaway adjustable bed, but “were good at following directions,” we decided that we were also good at following directions and would try on our own. The directions weren’t great and we probably wouldn’t have been successful without the video, but we managed to assemble it and link the remotes — and everything works! We’re still playing with settings, but my husband definitely appreciates the elevation feature and I am enjoying the zero-gravity setting. The massage settings seem pointless if you have a thick mattress — and I imagine if you’re buying these beds, you’ll be getting thick mattresses. We can hear but not feel the vibrations — though, I suppose if you want white noise, this might be useful. We ended up with Nectar mattresses — not sure how they compare with Casper, Ghost, Purple, etc — but they seem absolutely fine. I would suggest that if you’re choosing between the two- or three-sections leg heights, two is fine unless you’re over 6 feet. When we get the energy, we plan to remove one section from each leg. I haven’t been particularly impressed with the written instructions received with the bed or online — but my very limited experience with Glideaway customer service was positive, so, I think, if you have issues or questions, calling Glideaway might help. I called Glideaway customer service about the blinking red lights next to the USB ports, and the technician was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I think, overall, these are good beds. They have all the features we were looking for — elevation, wall-hugging technology, neck tilt (in addition to head and feet controls) — except for lumbar support. Since we’re not Alexa users, I can’t comment on how well Alexa works with the bed. I think that one advantage of using your smart phone as a remote (if you can get it to work) is that you could see the settings. One problem with the remotes is that until you push a button, the backlight on the remote doesn’t turn on — it would be a far better design if the button for the underbed lights or the flashlight were easily distinguishable by touch. It would also be good if the remotes came with instructions for setting the memory positions — ridiculous that one has to call customer service to find out how to program the remotes.

I bought this bed for the elevation feature and when I got it, the quality was really nice. I am very happy with my purchase.

Really strong chemical smell - toxic Chinese plywood decking
Warning for anyone thinking of buying this bed who is sensitive to chemicals. There is a really strong chemical smell from the Chinese plywood decking that the mattress sits on. We slept on it one night and slept with all the doors and windows open in 46 degree weather. Despite that the off-gassing is very strong. We then ran a fan under it all day with the doors and windows open. It still smelled strong so we moved it outside. The next morning it still smelled strong while sitting in the open air. The toxic chemical odors cause scratchy throat, irritated eyes, irritated sinuses as well as a headache and nausea. This is the Chinese drywall/formaldehyde flooring debacle equivalent in a bed frame. It is completely unusable for it's intended purpose and sits outside waiting for the manufacturer to pick it up. They have offered to replace it but I don't want another toxic product. I want a full refund so that I may buy from another manufacturer. I called Blissful Nights and they said their frame is 100% metal with some foam padding and upholstery. No composite wood products like plywood, particleboard, or MDF that contains formaldehyde or other toxic chemicals. I became interested in an adjustable bed frame when a friend bought one. I saw hers, from Blissful Nights, the day she unboxed it and set it up. No odor at all so I did not think this much more expensive frame from Glideaway would use inferior components with a toxic smell. I selected the Odessa due to the elevation kit for GERD and the wall hugger feature. I thought I was getting a top of the line product, instead I got a toxic health hazard. Update: Glideaway is a stand up company! They have agreed to a full refund and are arranging pick up of the frames. I could not be more pleased with the result. If they ever manufacture this frame in an all metal version I would buy it. We are both engineers and were very pleased with the build quality and the electronics under the frame. We were also very pleased with the features. The massage was wonderful, especially with the zero gravity setting. The wall hugger feature was excellent! The remote control was a C-. Too many identical buttons with no tactile feel, like a bump, to identify the flashlight or other buttons you want to see in the dark. The headboard brackets had horrible instructions. The white glove guys, who were no slouches mechanically, were left scratching their heads and then we spent 3 hours after they left figuring out that one piece on one side was on backwards causing the bed to hit the headboard when it was raised. Once we reversed it things worked well but you couldn't figure that out from the installation instructions. Overall the mechanics of the bed performed flawlessly in the one night we used it and we were very sad to not have it work out for us. I'm very pleased that my research into the company before we bought paid off. Family owned, 50 years in business, wide range of frame products etc. I felt safe buying from them and it turns out I was safe. They are standing behind their product.

It delivers on what it advertises
Good adjustable bed that is built like a tank. We purchased a split king with the elevation kit. Upholstered trim is top notch. Tilt operation is very quiet. Pillow tilt is excellent. Wall hugger functionality is convenient. Massage modes are a little noisy to me. I have remotes and they work well, USB ports are convenient and charge phones, iPads. Its a 2 person job to install. We had White glove service and it was worth it. High quality adjustable bed.
