I ordered volumes 5-8 and got them very quickly, but upon opening the package I found there was no other method of packaging the item to keep it safe. It was just the books and a paper thin amazon package bag. The books had creases and wear despite being brand new. The spine of one of them was a little ripped up. Poor quality for a new book, but not bad enough that it’s unreadable.

Knowing only Konosuba through anime. Since there wasn’t a season 3 anytime soon until an announcement a while back. Knowing that the anime skips certain things. I decided to continue the story with the Light Novel and I gotta say. This read was amazing. Knowing how the voice actors brought their characters to life. I always read in their voice but you know in English and it really made me feel like I was watching the show minus the improvised lines. Actually the show made the light novel a lot better. Once you’ve heard the VAs from the anime and translate it into reading. Your imagination becomes so vivid it gives the book even more life. And the character interactions are amazing as always and we got a returning character that I thought was the funniest person in the series but no spoilers, no no no. All I can say about the story is it follows after they went to Arcanlentia, or Aqua’s Axis Cult location. YunYun comes to Kazuma requesting his help, a demon lord is terrorizing the Crimson Wizard Clan and Kazuma has to solve problems once again. That’s the general premise but in detail, there is a lot going on but it’s better to find out rather than me telling you. Sure you can find the book for free but I’d rather support this series by buying it because honestly Konosuba is one of my favorite series of all time. Until next time on the next novel!

I had skipped vol 1-4 since, I already seen the anime and I don’t want to spend that kind of money.Kazuma is quite the sexual deviant. When he was room alone with a sleeping Megumi, would he cross that line? He would use every excuse in the book. It’s correct to label him as Trashzuma. So, it’s kinda disturbing.Other than that, it’s quite funny. The orcs chapter and demon general reveal at that moment – hilarious. Fun read to learn more about the Crimson Magic Clan and Megumin’s family.One pet peeve of mine is that the illustration of the orcs wasn’t quite described as in the novel.

It was a fun read.

Fun story that focuses on Kauma and Megumin. If you liked previous Konosuba books you will like this one. It takes place in the Crimson Demon village and we meet Megumin's family. And suddenly so much of her behavior makes sense. And as usual Kazuma is both the jerk and the hero in almost equal measure.

Bought because I enjoyed the first book and couldn't wait for the movie to be released where I live. Was actually better than the movie in my opinion (movie was still very good don't get me wrong)

Iike the title says, I was surprised at how dark this book got in the beginning. I mean it was still light hearted and funny, but definitely dark in places!All told, I enjoyed this book like all the others and I'm definitely looking forward to the next one.

I love Konosuba and love the light novels, I'm just sad the 5th one arrived a little damaged.

Start and end connect well. Focus on the relationship of Megumin and Kazuma, while still advancing the overall plot of Konosuba. Also introduced an interesting twist with Kazuma actually being the one to cause problems, not Aqua.
