Well made USB hub adapater
Have used USB ports of USB-C hub adapter several times, without problems. The slot in side to house short USB-C cord securely holds cord when not in use.Have not yet tried Ethernet, VGA, or HDMI ports. But having most commonly needed ports in one compact adapter makes traveling a whole lot easier.

If you are gonna use it all then it’s worth the money
Everything works and it’s small and portable

Well built, quality product.
I'm happy with the purchase as it allows for many peripherals to be used. I like that it has a housed attachment cord, making it easier to carry. It was a bit larger and heavier than i expected but it is clearly well built and seems like a quality product that will give years of service.

Great device
This is exactly what I was looking for. I can use it to extend the capabilities of my iPad Pro and use it on my laptop. The included USB-C cable is a nice benefit. Often an attached cable seems to suffer from the constant bending. One thing would make it better is a third USB-C port. Then I could connect, charge and use another USB-C peripheral at the same time.I had a problem with external drives on the iPad but it was because the iPad doesn’t support NTFS formats. Once I formatted for them exFat, I could use drives with large files without any problems.

Works exactly as advertised!
Rugged construction and solid plug connections. Using with Asus C434 Chromebook, external Full HD monitor. Absolutely perfect. Simultaneous charging, USB2 wireless mouse/kb. Very satisfied. Used about 3 weeks.

Does exactly what it says in a solidly-built package, with one big caveat.
I was looking for a USB-C hub with VGA, HDMI, SD card, and a removable cord, and this is the only one I found. It's solidly built (feels sturdy and well-made), and everything seems to work correctly. The instruction manual is of limited quality, but it's also not particularly needed; this hub is pretty self-explanatory. If this meets your needs (it's a bit bigger than some hubs and lacks a headphone jack), it's a good choice.Edit several months later: It took a while to notice this, but power passthrough seems to subtract 15W from the charger, which is rather inconvenient with a 30W charger. The company responded quickly and favorably, but I have to subtract a star.

Not the best option with a 2020 13"MacBook Pro
I bought this to use with my new 2020 13" MacBook Pro. As mentioned by another reviewer this hub gets very hotted that is a major concern for me. There are two USB-C ports; one port must be connected to the MacBook to get power to the hub transfer data between the MacBook and connected devices. The other port provides enough power for my Samsung T5 SSD. The documentation is basically useless and HDMI port would not work until I got the USB-C connections exactly right. There are also two USB 3.0 ports; one powered and one data only. Because of the overheating, I do not recommend this hub.
