Good for Raspberry Pi devices
Works great on my raspberry pi to allow a host computer to do serial communication to the Pi.

Worked great - Genuine PL2303GC & Windows 11
Some reviews of this product complained about this DTech USB to TTL Serial cable not working with Windows 11 and/or getting a counterfeit device. I can't really verify whether mine was counterfeit but it showed up as a "Prolific PL2303GC USB Serial COM Port" in Device Manager on Windows 11 immediately, without having to hunt for drivers. I configured Putty to connect via serial, keyed in the COM Port that Device Manager defined the adapter as, connected the ground/TX/RX leads to the appropriate place on the Linksys EA6350v2's board, and gave the router power. Everything worked perfectly and allowed me to do the necessary things over serial to flash FreshTomato onto the router's flash memory. Included with the cable was a small pamphlet serving as documentation as well as a pinout/schematic of what's inside the slightly oversized USB connector.

Works well and was auto detected and configured on my Linux system
I used this cable to connect my Linux Ubuntu box to Jetson Orin Nano serial port pins. The Linux machine identified it as ttyUSB0 and I was able to use it with software control to communicate with my Jetson box.

Not wired as expected
I bought this cable to fix a router I had “bricked”, when a custom firmware install failed. After numerous failed attempts to reflash my router, I came to the realization that the green and white wires were swapped on my cable. I’m not sure if this is isolated to the cable I received or is a common issue. I’m just glad it wasn’t the power wire that was swapped as I’ve been told it is enough to damage the chipset if accidentally connected to the internal pin connector. For the price it’s not a bad product, but verifying outputs before connecting it to a router that costs a few hundred dollars might be a good way to safe guard against damaging the thing your trying to fix.

Outputs 5v on red
Outputs 5v on red. Some devices like this allow an external 5 Volt or 3.3 volt reference to be input to support different TTL levels. The red is definitely 5 volts out This worked fine with my Raspberry Pi 4 gpio 15,16 uart. Green to 15, white to 16

Once you get the driver working, it's great.
Works but the driver was a tad difficult to find and install.

Great price. Never failed me
I need to convert old programming cables from serial to USB for many old devices. I've used a few of the converters and they have worked perfectly.
