Free Space Binaural Microphone

This mic is PERFECT of ASMR. It works amazing, and there are plenty of examples on youtube to show the quality. Ears were stiff at first, but with use the ears became more flexible. However, I hadn't (for some reason) been smart enough to realize the 3DIO runs off of battery. It also, does not come with an amp cord to plug into your computer. I never turned off the 3dio so I had to change out the battery after maybe a few months of use (which is actually great, considering I never turned it off). Switching the battery out was incredibly easy though, so don't be intimidated by it.

This equipment is wonderful, especially if for planned recording with a field recorder handy. However, I also wanted to be able to record binaural on the fly without needing all my gear. So I also got the Hooke Verse by Hooke Audio. It records the same way, but it also lets you record right to your smart phone and it can record wired or wireless over bluetooth! It helps me stay prepared for anything!

I was happy to purchase and receive this mic as I had been wanting one for years. I haven’t been able to test it out until today and the right ear microphone does not work. This was why I had ventured to buy the mic in the first place. These microphones are not cheap or cheaply made, but I guess mine is the exception. I bought it new and now it feels like I’ve been screwed by the 30 day return policy.I’m deeply disappointed.

I didn't buy this on Amazon, but it's an amazing microphone! I'm also using it as an MS setup with a Sennheiser MKH416 for field recordings.It sounds fantastic with dynamic sound sources for perspective, but it's great for ambience recordings too. If you're looking to do any VR audio or just connect it to a GoPro for a ridiculous sound upgrade, this mic awesome.
