Satin-Polish Brushed Stainless Steel Stair Handrail - Pre-Assembled, Select Length - with Classic Domed End Caps

This rail was purchased for my lovely 83 year old mother who has worsening hip problems. My husband (and I as his able assistant) fitted it today and as you can see, she was genuinely thrilled. Absolutely delighted in fact. No wobble - solid. As I said to my laughing Dad, ‘if the house was to fall down, the rail would still be standing!’ The rail came with a polishing cloth to keep finger marks at bay. Being honest it did require rawl plugs (spelling?) but my husband had those so no problems there. Straightforward to install. It was satisfyingly heavy, more modern then wood and worth every penny.

The balustrade arrived early, well packaged, the correct length, the extra bracket had been fitted and was ready to install in the hallway!Three screws had gone missing, but, my husband had no trouble at all buying the same type of screws from our local ironmongers, fixing it in place was so much quicker than we thought it would be and that was due ‘so I’m told’ to everything being put in place at the manufacturing end before it arrived!The balustrade was washed cleaned with warm water and washing-up-liquid and a soft cloth to get the residual oil and dirt off, it was then buffed up with the microfibre cloth I had also purchased at the same time as ordering the extra bracket! I’m so glad I did purchase the cloth because it is a great size and of good quality and gives the balustrade a lovely sheen!It now adorns the hallway and is a great talking point, especially in my husbands view, because, for once he didn’t have to put something together before attaching it in place, it is so strong and well made and to be honest I think it fits a purpose AND it’s very beautiful!Thank you!

I fitted this handrail to a wall next to a short flight of steps to help my aged father in law.Really there should be a note or instructions about the fact that it is very heavy (and my one only small) and really requires two people to fit it. One to hold it in place and the other to mark through the bracket holes. A long one would need three people. There’s only a little tolerance on the holes and I had to loosen the brackets on the rail to get it to fit. It looks fine though. Also there was some machine oil on mine which needed wiping off. All ok in the end.

stair bannister very well packaged when arrived. Put up using 40mm wall plugs - ensure good quality ones - 8mm drill bit -drilling in to wall just a bit longer to allow full length of screw to tighten up nicely. I also cut a couple of lengths of wood to help support the bannister while marking holes for drilling —- I recommend taking the supports off once 2 end supports are marked for holes.. Need small Allen type key or bit for this -/ take your time to ensure good fit.. once secure looking good ... recommended !

Liked the look, delivery was fast; easy to install howeverxI have taken two stars off as after I ordered via Amazon I noticed I could have bought it a lot cheaper if ordered direct from the company. Second star removed because it was bought as a Disability Aid yet customers are not offered the opportunity to pay no VAT as usually happens with Disability Aids. To reiterate, if I merely wanted this handrail over my stairs because I liked the look of it, OR if I needed this handrail to enable me to access the bathroon/bedroom I paid EXACTLY the same amount of money. Every Company has a duty to inform their Disabled Customers they can have the VAT removed.

Ordered the 4mt handrail, arrived within a couple of days very well wrapped.It is a two man job to fit the handrail as it is very heavy. I like the fact that you can get the rail in the one length without any joins. Very pleased!!

Ordered this to replace wooden white painted rail for future easier maintenance. It arrived when expected, very well packaged. It came with cloth and screws and the important part, it looks fantastic and matches all brushed steel fittings. In my opinion given that it was one complete rail of 3.6m made fixing it to the wall so much easier. I would highly recommend this rail.
