Lithonia Lighting FMLRL 11 14830 M4 11-Inch 3000K LED Low Profile Round Flush Mount

I purchased 4 of these lights to replace 4 old fluorescent lights in my closets and laundry room. I hired an electrician to install them and he said they were a perfect choice and easy to retrofit. They’re very bright and perfect for dark closets. They mount flush so they take up little space and just blend into the wall (where mounted) and ceiling.

We installed 2 fluorescent Circline fixtures in our closet a few years ago; but, weren't happy with them for several reasons:1) The bulbs didn't seem to last long at all.2) Even when they did last, they would get noticeably dimmer over time.3) Fluorescent bulbs have a weird color to them as a general rule.Over the last year, we replaced all the other bulbs in our home with 3000K LED bulbs - and the only fluorescent lights we had left were the Circline fixtures. It wasn't a hard decision at all to replace them once I saw these!Anyway, I've only had them for a couple of weeks; but, I don't have anything bad to say about these at this point:1) The install was extremely easy. It only took a few minutes to replace both fixtures.2) The lights are significantly brighter than the Circline lights we replaced.3) The 4000K color is a bit whiter than the other lights in the house; but, it works great in the closet and workspace areas.4) They turn on quickly and don't flicker at all.5) If the other LEDs in our home are an indication of how long these will last, I suspect they'll go for years without burning out.At the end of the day, if you're looking for an excellent replacement for a Circline fixture in a utility area or closet - I would highly recommend giving this a try.

The 20 in 44W light is replacing a fluorescent fixture that was 72 watts and supposedly 5100 lumens. This fixture is WAY brighter even though the advertised lumens is less than the old fixture. I have a big kitchen + dining room and it lights up the entire area. Lots more light for less energy usage is a good thing.What I don't like is the white cover is flimsy and fragile. My first one was cracked so Amazon sent a replacement quickly. Be extra careful when removing from box and handling.

This light is very bright. It’s a white light. Put it in my laundry room. Happy with it

So far, I'm impressed. Just replaced a double circular fluorescent. It wasn't pretty, but was about the brightest ceiling light you could get for a long time. This beats it by a longshot.Although the rated 1600 lumens is at least theoretically lower with this fixture, I believe it is actually brighter at less than half the total watts.It's lightweight and easy to install. Not fancy, but has a nice clean look and low profile. The light spreads evenly and it doesn't blind you glancing directly at it. Nice clean, basic form but highly functional. With the very long expected life, it's a case of install it and forget it. Nothing to maintain.The 4000k version is a nice, cool, crisp white light, good for areas like kitchens and bathrooms. Not too harsh or blue shifted.I shifted most lighting to fluorescents and CFLs some time back and have begun transitioning to LEDs now. I just can't understand why some people seem hooked on incandescents LEDSs have way too much going for them and the prices are coming down to where they pay for themselves in energy savings pretty quickly. I'll be getting more of these and it's smaller little brother. Nice fixture!

This light installs as easy as any other ceiling mount light. There is a cross bar which attaches to a standard box with two screws and holds a threaded pipe which extends through the light and has a cap nut. I put it in a basement room with a low unfinished ceiling by mounting an electrical box directly to the side of the floor joist. There are also two keyhole mounting holes which I suppose you could use to hang it directly on a joist, but I thought that would make it harder to run the wires out the back.The light has a nice low profile so I will not hit my head. It turns on instantly and produces a nice bright white light. I am not aware of any flicker, strobe or hum.I am not using a dimmer. I uploaded a photo of the box with some more details than this listing has, and a picture of the LED circuit board itself for those who are curious what a modern LED light fixture looks like inside.

Very bright ceiling light like i wanted, exceeded my expectation.Replaced my fluorescent circle bulb ceiling light in my laundry room.Much brighter and light is evenly distributed 360 degrees around the room.Much better than recessed or flush mount which tend to emit light downwards like a spot light.Spent more money on this than i wanted but will save me money in long run since i will not have to buy expensive $20 replacement bulbs every year anymore.Installation can be a pain if you follow the instructions.I improvised on the install by pulling the fixture wires back through the metal base and running my existing electrical wires through the base plate before i mounted it to the ceiling.This allowed me to mount to ceiling and then make the connections, instead of attempting to make the connections while holding the fixture which is 12” square before mounting to the ceiling with the wires in the way.The fixture is LED which produces little to no heat, so making the connections inside the cover is not an issue. They do not affect the lighting either and are barely visible ( how often are you staring at the light directly anyway?)Doing it this way saved a lot of time and profanity on the install.Biggest issue was the existing ceiling mount where the screws attach the fixture to the ceiling did not match the fixture but they never do for me anyway so i didn’t expect them to. Again i improvised and had to use a washer on one side and no big deal.Excellent for laundry room, utility room, office or attic (if you have the wiring for it) or any space where you need it nice and bright so you can see.Much brighter than my previous fixture which makes it easier to do laundry and keep the room clean and neat.

While the product is ‘as advertised’ and a good product, it arrived with a cracked cover and a broken clasp. I normally would have returned it but as it was an emergency replacement, I had to modify and fix it. I assume it was a shipping issue.

This light works as advertised. I’ve used Lithonia fixtures for years and they do the job. This fixture was disappointing because it is built to the absolute minimum of standards. The vase is thin, tinny. The globe is cheap. The wire is the thinnest cheapest AWG they could use. This thing looks like it could be constructed for about 5 bucks. This product should be made in North America.. real steel... quality plastic, decent wiring and so on. Bugs me to pay what they ask for this knowing they made for 5 dollars or less in China.

Amazing light for the price! We replaced one in a bedroom that was high energy and very low light ... a flash light would have worked better. This light is so bright we actually put a dimmer switch on it to give a softer glow. Its perfect for a basement suit! Love the light

I am satisfied with the quality of the product, but it is not as advertised. It is listed as providing 4400 lumen of light, but the packaging states it is 3970 lumen. After installation, I found it not as bright as I expected, but still OK.

I love it! It is huge and bright and dims down nicely. My husband installed in under half an hour with no issues!
