Smooth, Even Application
I used this for gray stain application on a deck that I refreshed for a friend. It was everything that I’d heard from reviews and painters on YouTube as well. Held a nice amount of stain yet delivered it smoothly and evenly which made application quicker. Well worth it!

Only roller cover I will use now
I "lurked" for a while on a professional painters forum where I discovered "lambswool" roller covers, which a lot of the pros swear byI ordered a couple and was really impressed. I live in S Cal and are walls have a light texture so I went with the 3/4" nap for good coverage. This cover holds a lot of paint and will leave a little bit of its own texture on the wall. They clean well, don't shed and are a pleasure to work with.I like to work in sections - I apply the paint to about a 2 1/2 foot wide section at the top of the wall which will usually get me down almost to the middle of the wall. I then load the roller again with paint and finish up the lower section. Before moving over to the next section, I go back and roll the wall with the unloaded roller from top to bottom to make sure the texture is consistent. Also, if you slightly damped the roller with water when you first start painting, it helps absorb the paint

You get what you pay for
They are good for one or possibly 2 sessions. They get think and skippy after one use so do all your work on one roller at a time.

Quality Roller for staining deck.
Just used to stain my deck. Worked great and only needed the one roller for a very large deck. Held stain well and applied smooth and even.

The quality of the lambswool is excellent-- holds paint super well, "no" spatter or dripping
The quality of the lambswool is excellent-- holds paint super well, "no" spatter or dripping. But I was surprised to realize that the roller is only 9 inches long, which is shorter than our North American standard 9 1/2 inch roller cages. So the roller slips back and forth on the cage as I'm using it. I should have read the information more carefully before ordering!
