Kinetic Glasslock Series Rectangular Glass Food Storage Container With Locking Lid , 14-Ounce

I bought these to take lunch to work. As the description says, they hold 14 ounces, which is slightly less than 2 cups. It's about the right size for lunch with fruit or a cookie to supplement. The lids seal liquid-tight, so you can even transport soup without leakage. The lids and latches seem quite sturdy. I've been using them about 4 times per week for a month now, and they still latch firmly, unlike some containers I've had. The best part about glass - if you reheat something with cheese in it, there's none of that weird blistering/fusing thing that can happen with plastic. Tomato or chile based foods do not stain, and they're easy to wash. I wouldn't mind if they nested a little better when stacked - it can be hard to carry two at once down the hall to the microwave. Be aware that the glass will transmit heat more than plastic, so once your food is hot, the outside of the container is quite warm. Overall, I'm very happy with these, and I'm buying another set of 3 so I have more to store leftovers in.April 2012, an update after more than a year of use - the latches are still going going strong, with a firm, positive click, and they still seal liquid-tight. I take the gasket out of the lid once in a while to clean the channel underneath it.

I own several of the Glasslock products including this one. I really like the solid seal they have. You can put things in your lunch and not worry about them leaking. Or you can store things in the refrigerator and not have them pick up odors.The drawback is that the sides are straight so you can't stack them well. Some other Pyrex containers I have come with beveled sides so they nestle nicely inside one another. That's why I'm giving it four stars. Manufactures either get the lid right like this product, or the sides right so that they can stack. I'd love to find a product that gets them both right!

Great to bring lunch to work. Liquids do not leak, can be washed in the dishwasher and heated in the microwave.

Best food container I've ever used.Totally airtight and leak proof.Cleans up easily in dishwasher, heats up well in microwave.The best.

This is a good looking piece of glass storage, but it was a lot smaller than I thought. Fits about a cup or so.

This is a great container. I've had it for a few weeks and it has never leaked. It is very heavy duty and literally heavy. The only complaint is that I wish I'd bought the larger version. This barely 2 cup size doesn't fit a lot at all. If you eat a lot and want to fit some fruits/sides in with your lunch, do not get this one - try the next size up. It is about the length of my hand, and my hands are small. All in all, I love it!
