Only one loop
The cut of the pants is fine - it's a pretty typical karate gi pant. I like the cut a bit better than the Moosoolsa pants I normally used to wear - though I wish they'd put a bit of a gusset in the crotch like a BJJ gi pant - just so larger guys would have a bit more range of motion. The worst thing about these pants - instead of two (or better yet four) loops to guide the draw strings - there is one single loop up front, right in the center. I really don't think it would hurt Pro Force's bottom dollar to make two loops and put them in the normal positions. I've had issues keeping these pants tied because the draw strings are rather short, and the single loop does not really allow a proper knot. They haven't fallen off my arse yet, but at least once or twice per class I have to retie them, or hike them up and retie them. Because of the lack of room in the crotch, I can't even hike them up higher and cinch the waist down for longer strings. I bought these because I needed pants after ripping my old ones - and these were one of the few makes/models that fit by sizing chart. I would not buy these again unless there were no other options.

Fantastic for thicker thighs and waist.
I love that this pair of pants gives me more room than standard sizes. Most gi pants are either fine at the waist and way too long, or the right length and too small at the waist. Finally, this pair fits my body type which has thick thighs, a large butt, and a chunky waist. (Hey, not all martial artists are 20 year old athletic men.)My only complaint is that I wish they could spring for TWO belt loops. One belt loop right in the center? Really? Sure, I can tie my knot around it and it keeps the string from riding up. But I feel like a fricking unicorn. Two would have been nicer, or even three if the center loop is helpful for keeping the knot from riding up.

Good midweight uniform pants
These are almost perfect as mid-weight uniform. Good stitching, strong comfortable material, satisfying "crack", if you need that sort of thing. Draw strings are strong, but are not secured in any part of the pant, so it could be lost into its channel, but that hasn't happened so far. The drawstring and the thickness of the upper seams around the waistband are a little thick, and can be a little uncomfortable during crunches and floor work. The only cure for that would be to have thinner material, a wimpier drawstring, or an elastic waistband, so, it's ok. Overall, very good pants.

I have been using the twice a week for almost 4 years and they are still going strong.

I really want to like these pants
I really want to like these pants. There's plenty of room (any larger and it would snag on your thigh when you maigiri). My only gripe is the material- it's not a true heavyweight cotton. I compared these pants with a Wocoku 14oz. There's just no way this ProForce is 14oz. 12 or 13, but not 14oz. It also would have been nice to have a truer white cotton instead of the slight "eggshell" color.Strange thing is this: They don't make a matching Gi top in this "14oz".

Awesome fit
This was purchased to replace another pair from a different company that no longer exists. The fit is good and the pants are sturdy. love them!!!

These are nice thick heavy pants
These are nice thick heavy pants, color fades with washing but material is holding up very nicely. Traditional drawstring pants are nice for "thicker" people that don't want to have elastic cutting into their sides.

Not too shabby
A bit on the bigger side, but threw it in the washer with warm water and tumble dried and fits alright. Good quality fabric and happy with my purchase. Would definitely purchase again.
