MeyenbergGoat Milk Products European Style Goat Butter, 8-Ounce Packages (Pack of 6)

Delicious butter!!!! We only consume goat produts and this butter is by far delicious. I made some almond cookies that turned out beautiful and delicious. I highly recommended it. I think the price is high and that why I gave 4 stars.

I discovered the Meyenberg goat butter while dining at Eleven Madison Park, a restaurant in New York City. It was served in a small dish along with restaurant-made biscuits. I immediately flipped over it. What was funny was that the dinner was so outstanding but my waiter immediately knew that the butter impressed me that he provided me with some of the butter when I left the restaurant. He also told me that I couild purchase the butter at a Whole Foods Market. While I was able to purchase it at Whole Foods in the Washington, D.C.area, Whole Foods has since discontinued carrying it. I miss it very much! While I am not a huge bread eater, Meyenberg goat butter on a slightly-warmed good roll or biscuit is a memorable event.......at least, in my opinion. Gus Leib

This Meyenberg goat butter has been my newfound staple for over a year now. I tried it on a whim from Harris Teeter and later on my local Whole Foods started stocking it too. It is a wonderful complement to good bread as well as cheese. I find goat butter packs more flavor than cow's butter, so I find myself I use less of it than cow's milk butter.I have not tried many other brands of goat butter, but compared to the other few I've tried, this Meyenberg wins easily both on flavor and price. Other brands also tend to package their butters in half size packages. So, this 8oz stick is a great deal.Now, most of the reviews here complain of high price. Sure, you'd pay more to have this six pack delivered to you via expedited mail. On the other hand, this price includes free expedited shipping, it is a perishable item, mind you, so shipping adds to the price. For someone who can't get it from a local supermarket, I still think this is a good deal. I think people often do not realize that the free shipping is not actually free and is included in the price as in this case.

I buy this at Farmer Joe's Market in Oakland, Ca for about $5 a package (8 oz.) so yes, Amazon is way overpriced on it.

We bought this butter at an Ohio grocery for $5.+ per 8 oz package. The price Amazon is charging for this is way too high. I would love to order it in bulk from Amazon---IF they would charge reasonable pricing for it.
