shipping was very slow
This window regulator and motor was exactly what I was needing. I purchased other regulators and motors from another web site and was told it would fit my 1997 Lincoln Town Car Signature Series Car, when in fact they were totally different and would not fit. I was able to get this installed and working as it should. Thumbs up to Amazon!

One vote for the Motocraft OEM part!
This Dorman regulator is supposed to be a direct replacement OE part # F3VY-5423209-A for a 1997 Town Car. It worked but not as well as expected and certainly not as advertised. Part of the product description reads: "Quality - Unless noted otherwise, these are new aftermarket parts. They align with Original Equipment (OE) specifications and act as a direct replacement for the factory part. They will fit and function as the original factory part did."The fit is OK but not as good as OEM Ford. The trolley (the part that looks like a wing that bolts to the window itself) is sloppy. So sloppy that when the window rolled up, the glass kicked forward in a most disconcerting manor. I thought, there must be something else going on here. After some research, I bought a tube of this -http://www.amazon.com/Honda-Genuine-Shin-Etsu-Grease/dp/B006Z9TZ9M/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1453765368&sr=8-2&keywords=honda+silicone+greaseThe above grease is supposed to be the best solution to windows that don't move up or down smoothly. It helped but not enough to keep the glass from leaning forward in the rear window track as it rolled up, especially when the window started from the bottom. Another thing to note is the fact that this regulator does indeed include a motor but it is about 1/2 the size of the original Ford motor. After considering the options, I decided to try yet another aftermarket regulator and motor assembly, this one:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007TY4ZBK?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00It is cheaper than the Dorman, but that is not the reason I chose it, it looked like it had a bigger motor and according to the pictures, the trolley looked like it had the same additional reinforcement as my original Ford one has. Plus, the OEM part number is included right in the title of the part itself. I thought, it has to be a winner. On a sidenote: this second regulator is not as pictured. The buttons that are in the center of the trolley are not there. Plus it had as much slop as the Dorman. Not only that, it didn't line up on the window hole bracket holes, and the lineup of the 2 bottom holes was so bad, one would have to ream out the holes in the regulator track bracket OR the inside door skin. Strike Two...Looking at the options, I rechecked my OEM regulator which failed where the top cable attached, and in doing so, the cable itself got all tangled up in the spool that the cables get rolled in and out of as the window rolls up and down. After some careful measurements, I discovered that the Dorman regulator was a fair copy of the Ford assembly, but this second regulator (with the full size motor) was a poor copy. Funny thing is the original regulator was a great fit, and the trolley for having 174K miles on it was still very tight on the track it rides on.So, here is what I ended up doing - I used the 2nd regulator with the full size motor and reused my original track and trolley assembly. Next to removing the OEM rivets (especially the two that hold the trolley bracket to the glass bracket, holding one's breath a good part of the time hoping not to break the window) exchanging the parts to make a complete working unit was worth the effort. I now have a window that rolls up and down as smooth as silk. No tipping (or kicking forward as described earlier) while the window rolls up. One comment to make assuming someone reading faced with the same decision to do the same as I.. The cable is longer on the OEM than on the replacement, so the springs near the motor where the cable spool assembly is located must be compressed completely and is quite difficult to take apart. I did it at the top where the bracket holds the outer cable sheath. If I had it to do over again, I would have bit the bullet and bought the OEM regulator (less motor, and gear assembly as mine was OK) More money for the Motocraft part, but is it fits correctly, it would have been worth it. I had the window in and out 3 times and was on the 3rd regulator by the time it was repaired to my satisfaction. Two weeks of using the car without the inner door panel. Not doing it that way again!Cheers.

Quality You Can See
Just installed the power window motor and regulator for my Lincoln Town Car. The removal of the part was quite an ordeal as it is riveted in place by Ford. The install Dorman's parts was straight forward. The window moves up and down with ease. I am very happy with the quality and ease of installing this part. Thank you Dorman!

Worked fine, just don't use bolts that are longer than need for the bottom of the regulator or the regulator will hang up after traveling to the down position and will not raise to the up position
