Chip Quik EGS10C-20G Electronics Grade Silicone Adhesive Sealant 20g (0.7oz) Squeeze Tube (Clear) for Precision Dispensing

In building vintage tube amps, I needed something that would hold down caps, lock fiber board insulation in place. I could not find the stuff recommended from the hardware store. This worked really well and I use it constantly now.

I was looking for something to secure torroidal cores/inductors and a transformer to my PCB on a radio project and it was easy to apply. Precise application (a dab on components) and a dab on nuts to secure and prevent loosening. Give it a couple days to fully cure and it IS Tough! This has made my finished board more robust and durable for travel. Highly recommend. Some reviews are out and out inaccurate... this is NOT silicon grease and Not a Traditional Adhesive as in glue.... it is similar to a caulking sealant, only in a small tube for small applications.

Used this to glue down a circuit board to a plastic base and it remained in place perfectly! Only thing I would say is that the recommended 24hr bond time might be a bit off. Once you apply the item, definitely let it sit for the full 7 days before attempting to move it at all. Other than that, 10/10 product.

This silicone has the right amount of adhesion to secure larger though-hole radial capacitors to the circuit board. It also has the other important properties for electronics, and can be removed without damaging the board. Very small tube won't last long if you do a lot of this type of work.

Standardized Measurements would be nice! It is also not an adhesive (which I am aware of) but it is misleading to others. I use this compound to seal the ends of custom length LED strips for outdoor installations. So I go through a lot at a time. While quickly needing to order some for a project I selected this as I use ChipQuik for Flux. I ordered thinking it was a nice price for something the size of the ASI 388 2.8 Ounce tubes that I normally use. The deceptive use of grams instead of Ounces made me assume I was getting 2 Ounces of the stuff not 20grams. I was not happy to see that I received a tiny little container of Silicone. I now have to not use the Amazon App for purchases as these details are too easy to miss on a mobile device. Amazon refunded it without a return (thanks!) but I still have to order a proper sized one as this is not nearly enough to finish a project and I doubt it will stay uncured for long after opening.

Works. I used this to secure some protect/secure some leads on a repaired sub amp. No issues.

i dont think these should be called adhesive if they dont even bond as well as B-7000s. these are sealants used for sealing small openings or gaps like in between phone screens and chassis. for that purpose it does its job well.

Worked great but, the back end of the tube failed so I had to scrap the silicone that I did not use on the first go.
