Bam Softpack Tenor Sax Case Black

I heard a lot about the BAM SoftPack cases but I've never seen one in person. It's hard to just go off of hype and what people say when it comes to cases. They are a bit of a personal taste kind of thing. I purchased this case directly from Woodwind and Brasswind before I knew they sold it on Amazon. This case is excellent. It's stylish, sleek, protective, light and you don't have to worry about your horn wiggling around in there. Lots of people say oh the case has no room for storage. Well, there's a storage compartment cut out right inside the case underneath your horn. There's a little shield that goes on top of it and covers it. I was able to keep my neck strap, reeds, cleaning cloth, swab cloth all inside. There is also a section to store your neck and mouthpiece too. The case strap feels nice on your shoulder and the zipper is top notch. It's easier walking around with this on your shoulder than other bulky cases. Check out my photos I posted to get an idea

I just recently got a Mark VI Tenor Saxophone and the case it came in was garbage. So, I was out looking for a new, stylish but protective, case for my horn. Then one day, I went to my private lessons and I saw that my private teacher had a BAM case! It looked so cool, the inside felt great, and the storage compartment was awesome. So I had to get myself one. Now granted this is one of the more expensive sax cases out there, it's for sure one of the best I've ever seen. I dropped it once and I was so scared, but when I checked on my sax, it did not move an inch! Now, the only concern that I have about this case is the neck compartment. In my personal opinion, I do not like it, so I just got a neck soft sack and I put it in my bell of my horn. And that way, I can put the neck strap where the neck is supposed to go! It creates so much more space! I love this case and quite honestly I don't see myself buying a new one anytime soon! You won't regret this purchase!

Great case slim and fits well

I tried several cases before buying this one for my Selmer Mark VI tenor sax. I did not like how the Protec Contoured Pro Pac case held my horn, although I do use a Protec soprano case (which isn't that great either). But this BAM case fit my Mark VI like it was custom made for it. The padding is very good; not the cheap styrofoam that many cases use. Although I would NOT trust this case to check my horn in when flying on an airline, I would not be worried about taking it as a carry-on piece of luggage. However, this is problematic as it is technically too big (length wise) to meet the airlines restrictions. But it will fit into most airplane overhead cargo bins. It's just a gamble depending on whether or not the person at the gate is feeling charitable.
