Can this powder be used when frying in a skillet or dutch oven on top of your stove?

It does not matter where you the oil you filter. The powder is to be used with a filtering system.

How many filter packs come in box?

The P36B contains 72 size B portion packs. Each Size B portion pack contains 240ml of FryPowder Oil Stabilizor and filter aid powder. The alternative is the Model P100, item code 40455, which contains 90 size C portion packs. The Size C portion pack contains 160 ml. Choose the Size B portion (model P36B/45424) if your fryer holds 50-60 lbs, 28-34 Qt, or 26-32 liters. Choose the Size C portion pack (model P100/45455) if your fryer holds 17-20lbs, or 10-12 qt, or 9-12 liters.
