Cobble Hill 1000 Piece Puzzle - Fire - Sample Poster Included

This FIRE puzzle is sure to stymie those whose method to complete the whole relies heavily on sorting puzzle pieces.An initial sort will indeed yield three piles: edges, FIRE, and everything else. And everything else can’t be substantially sorted further by color, pattern, or subject matter. You’re left to focus on each component image, e.g. a fire truck or an individual fireworks package, then paw through the pieces to (hopefully) find all (or most of) the image, assemble it, and position it within the completed frame of the four sides relative to where it will end up in the completed whole. They’ll all join up eventually.There is a poster included, but it’s actually smaller than the picture on the front of the box.Those with aging eyesight will likely find a magnifying glass useful.Fit and feel of the pieces are … ok. On a scale of one to ten, perhaps a 7.On a final note, the pieces CAN be sorted by shape, but it's probably not worth doing so until the last 100 or less and you want to finish up quickly.Five stars for the challenge it presents to those sometimes-too-smart-for-their-own-good sorters.

Just like the other Cobble Hill puzzles we've purchased, this one is also top quality. The pieces are uniquely cut, and are fun to work.

The family had a lot of fun with this puzzle.

Puzzle piece cutouts were horrible. Edges would not stay together until middle pieces attached. Very frustrating!

Great puzzle with good fit but not too tight to make it difficult to take apart. I'll buy more.

I love this series of puzzles and have completed three of the elements. The puzzle is well made with uniquely shaped pieces, and the image is vibrant. The artwork is gorgeous and challenging.

Such fun! Great puzzle, enough of a challenge but still accessible for the whole family.
