They were a little smaller than the original ones. But it seems to work. It was only because I don’t know the exact sizes for zippers when ordering them.

Everything was matching - the color was fine, the strength of the pieces, but then I realized the parts that are circled in the first photo were for opposite sides. Had to return. There was no place to check "mens" or "womens" zipper when placing the order. The company did have fast service, though. I ended up ripping out the old zipper and replacing it.

You get 20 of each bottom part as pictured. These do fit YKK #5 and the work well, you do need to crimp them on to even work otherwise you won't get the pull down over it and it will fall off. Even crimping them on like I did doesn't guarantee they will fit or last long but this is why you ordered 20 of them for your one hoodie. You really should fine a way to puncture the back so it pushes some metal into the zipper material if you want it to stay. That of course fails over time too. Which is why you are looking at a replacement.

The metal material and machining of the part is actually not bad at all. However, actually installing this on the end of clothing (in my case it was a light jacket) is very tricky and will completely depend on what you've got to work with and how the end of the original zipper was made and/or what was left of the original zipper. I made it work, but I know it will not last - not due to the part itself, but because there was almost no material on the jacket zipper to work with. It is a good thing you get many of the latches in the package, because I had to ruin one to figure out how to best put it on and most importantly on how to keep it on. Again, depends on the amount of material you've got to work with. Squeezing it with pliers or even a vice was not sufficient - I used a small metal puncher in addition - I believe this is how the originals are put on with machine puncher. But it's got to be a very small puncher. YMMV for sure - you will not know the outcome until you try this out.

Bought this kit for a sweatshirt that had a missing retainer box. There are many reviews saying the kit "doesn't work" or is useless....for anyone reading who doesn't know: The box needs to be pinched on to the zipper end. That means you'll need to procure your own tool/method of doing so. I added a drop of industrial glue to the inside of the clip (the long side that pinches on to the fabric and stays put) and pinched it on with a pair of pliers. It fits my #5 zipper perfectly, it just needs to be applied with some force, otherwise it'll be "useless" because it isn't actually attached. Grab a pair of pliers, put some muscle in to it, maybe add a drop of heavy duty glue to ensure that the box won't slip off. Please don't blame the manufacturer because you aren't attaching the pieces correctly. I almost didn't buy this product because of the negative reviews. Very happy I did!

Wish there were better images of alignment. Crimped one on and dumbo here and struggled to learn what the (bleep) I did wrong. I looked at a functional zipper and Dumbo here had it facing the wrong way. OK so that wasted one bottom end. Crimped the next with pliers. Worked. Sort of. For a month? Then it fell off. OK, so this third time I found my electrical crimpers (think ice tongs in a weird way) BINGO ! Similar tools are sold along with these parts. Careful with alignment.

Sweatshirt fixed in 2 minutes

The parts state a size 5 but they were way too small and the colour was way to dark. Didn't work at all.Had to order a real zipper to fix my problem. I won't do that again!
