Easy to Install and Works Very Well
Installed two new Toto toilets and started having water hammer bang every time either toilet shuts off water after a flush. I have installed four Toto toilets in two houses and every one of them causes water hammer when shutting water off. Bought this Sioux Chief water hammer arrestor to mitigate water hammer bang caused by master bathroom toilet first. It is very easy to install, took about 15 minutes. Once installed it works really well. The big bang after each flush is completely gone. Quite impressive really. So impressed, I ordered another one for my downstairs Toto as well.

Stopped dishwasher water-hammer cold
Quick and easy to install. Fits right between the hose from the washer and whatever you've got it hooked onto. Works just as advertised. Made in USA. I spent the extra few bucks for the Made in USA model. Not sure that's going to matter, but going with a brand that cares about their reputation makes me feel better about it lasting. Would definitely do it again and recommend.

Didn't completely eliminate the noise
Easy to install (didn't need all of the fittings). Placed on the line to my toilet tank. It is at the opposite end of the house where the water comes in. There is a long line running down the center of my crawl space and then smaller lines branch off. The toilet in our master bath is at the end of the line. While it did reduce the severity of the water hammer, it didn't completely eliminate it. I may install a couple under the sinks too. I think the amount of water that is moving in the main line is too much for this device to completely handle. Your situation can be completely different- depends on how your plumbing is done.

No more rattling pipes when the dishwasher runs!
Got the job done. The finish on the part I received was all silver color- maybe it is not brass. Good quality. I have used many of these in the past. As an unexpected bonus, I no longer have any hammering from the washing machine, which of course is in another room, and several walls away.

Worked for a VERY short while
Revised review: My original positive review is below. Unfortunately, after just a few days the "hammer" sound began to return, and after a couple of weeks, it seems to be no different than before installing it. I don't know if that is a defect in this unit, or if they are all this way...but it seems to have been a waste of money and effort. Original review: Wow! I had a kitchen faucet line that would shake/hammer every time either the sink cold water, or the washing machine, or even a toilet shut the valve. This little gem took 10 minutes to install, and fixed the problem. You simply remove the supply line ("riser") from the faucet supply valve, put this right in-line, and re-attach the supply line/riser to this "arrester". It seems to be well made, with nice chrome plated brass nuts and a stainless body.

Easy to install, no plumbing experience needed
Our bathroom sinks had water hammer and a plumber quoted a cost of $1300 to reduce house water pressure. Instead, I installed this. It completely eliminated the water hammer (and it's doubtful the water pressure change would have). I put it on one sink's water supply and it also eliminated hammer from the sink next to it. Before buying this, I had installed a different Sioux chief water hammer arrestor on a nearby toilet. It had eliminated the hammer from the toilet, but only somewhat reduced hammer from the sinks. I wanted to completely eliminate hammer from the sinks, so I bought this one. It's so much cheaper than paying for a plumber. It was very quick to install. All you need to have is the correct size wrench. It took maybe 10 minutes. I have virtually no plumbing background. Also, although the photo doesn't show it, the one I got from Amazon said it is lead free.

Just what the doctor ordered
I recently replace my kitchen sink faucet. For some reason this new one created a water hammer situation every time the water was turned on or shut off. Old house, old pipes. I was getting ready for a major pipe securing mission in my horrible basement and crawlspace when I ready about these babies. I bought two of them, the 3/8 connection, and installed them between the feed pipes and the sink flex hose connections. I figured that was the easiest, and the installation I could handle without calling in the pros. Instant success, even though I understand this is not the optimal installation. They work perfectly. No hammering at all. We'll see how long they last, but at the moment this is a true 5 star product. My plumbing is much happier now.

Worked Great, But Lasted Only One Year
Did the trick initially, on a rather abrupt kitchen faucet pedal valve. Only ONE year later, the hammer is back. I replaced the old mini-rstrs with new ones, and the hammer is gone again. They were easy to replace, but I don't really want to be replacing these things YEARLY, as I've got them all over the house. So, in the mean time, I'll be looking for a different solution. Perhaps something that will take care of the whole house. By the way, on the device itself it says that the max operating pressure is 250psig, and on the mfg website it says that the max operating temperature is 250F.
