A standard GM thermostat is about a plain vanilla a product as you can imagine, and is about as time tested as any part still in use from the golden era of GM manufacturing. This intake manifold mounted design is fundamently the same part as was used in virtually every GM 6 and 8 cylinder engine going back as far as the 1950's. It is that well understood. DO NOT PAY $57 for a thermostat of this design. Just get this one! :-) The only questions I had about this are were; "does it open at the rated temperature" and "are the dimensions accurate" and "are the materials of acceptable quality?" The part appears to meet spec. and the dimensions are accurate. There is copper and brass in the right places and the design is the time tested arrangement. The thermostat cracks open at 190 and is substantially open by 195. Gasket fits tight and seals correctly with no issues. Note that this part was manufactured in Israel. Somehow I'm hard pressed to imagine a company in a country like Israel gearing up to produce GM thermostats, but that's what the packaging says. Glad to buy a part made somewhere besides in the far East. A good t-stat at a good price. Note that this is exactly the same t-stat model and brand that you can buy at a local convenience store big-box auto parts store, only delivered right to your house and for almost $24.00 less. Yes, for exactly the same brand/country of origin/ part number as at big box. Duh. Get this one. Five stars. no issues. Almost dinged it because it said country of origin listed as "U.S.A." in the listing, but package says "Made in Israel". :-) Ultimately decided that was splitting too many hairs.

Great fit ,easily installed, not having any issues with functionality, heat is back working again.

Looks well made. I ended up just using the gasket from this new one on my old thermostat cause I was nervous about this one. It was a tiny bit shorter and the bottom spring wasn’t as strong as my old one. With winter coming up I want that hot heat.

Installed this on my express van with a new radiator and overheating is definitely not something I'm concerned with so far. The temperature stays around 1/4 on the gauge rolling down the interstate. It would be nice if it was a bit more true to the oe temperature

Worked well until with no warning my truck began to rapidly overheat, gasket will not fit 2003 F150 5.4, you will need the o ring gasket. I tested the thermostat with heat to confirm it failed, stay with OEM

There was no issues with this , fit my navigator . And it's nice to see my temp gauge above the c line . Thanks . Would definitely purchase agian . If needed .
