I bought this battery to power an on camera monitor (small HD brand) for a camcorder. It's a little big for the monitor but doesn't cause problems for my use. I love that it can also provide a USB power supply for other devices like my smaller Panasonic camcorder, which will run for hours using its USB power cord. I can also charge my phone or whatever.Since I didn't have any other Sony L series batteries (which are apparently a standard for many on camera monitors and peripherals) I didn't want to buy a wall charger for just that type of battery and found the USB C input for charging this battery extremely useful.I charged it once when I got it and have used it for probably 4-5 hours and it still has 35-40% battery power left. I'll update this review if anything changes but am very happy with the battery.

I've had mine for 5 years and still gives 6 hours Plus of Filming Time on Sony HD NX=CAM!! Highly recommend

The media could not be loaded. I work for a local TV station and have used these particular batteries a few times. After their first charge the battery life indicators worked just fine, but after the second charge the indicators do not work very well--they indicate the battery only has half life even though my very nice/high-quality charger shows they are "100%" charged. To be completely honest, when I went out on my first shoot, one of the two batteries indicators started to have this problem before the shoot even started (before I used up any of the battery life). I also noticed that these batteries last about 1/2 as long as my other batteries (different brand) and the other brand have the same capacity. So, as of this moment, I'm not that satisfied with the product. I have two more of these same batteries which will be delivered in a few days. I will field test the new ones as well. If I have the same problems I will not change my critical review, IF they work better I will update my review, chalk up the problem to just getting a pair of lemons, and up the # of stars in my rating. Anyhow, this battery life indicator function is important to me as I'm a professional, and so is the capacity. UPDATE: I’ve tried a few different chargers, and when their indicators show the battery is charged, the battery life indicator on the back of these “Ploture” batteries (I have 3 now) still only indicates the battery is 1/2 charged (only two of four lights come on). Please see the video I attached, which shows the Ploture battery at “%100” according to a very nice charger I own, but when I press the battery indicator on the back of the battery only two lights turn on!

It works, but it's not rapid charge, so it takes as long as any other npf battery to charge, and the led indicator is not super bright or always acurate. But it worked and I'd rather charge it via usb-c most of the time vs using a npf charger.

I like the battery a lot! I like the fact I don't have to put it into a charger and can just charge it with a usb cable. The power meter is nice too. I use it with a field monitor and have found that it retains a charge very well.

This looked exactly like what I was looking for. The external battery level indicator was a feature that I was looking for. When I place the battery in a 3rd party charger it seemed to charge slowly. Eventually the charger said the batteries were 100% charged. When I double checked the the battery level indicator it showed that the battery was still at it's original charge level. I contacted amazon and they we kind enough to send replacements. When I plugged in the new batteries they behaved the same way. So, I plugged the batteries in to their supplied charger...a usb cable. I left for a couple hours and when I returned the battery had only charged up by only one level...according to the external indicator. This taught me that these will only charge via USB cable and when they do they charge slowly.Unfortunately, this won't work for professional video production. Two stars for the battery level indicator and 5 starts to amazon, but otherwise tough to use.
