Mainstay 4-Drawer Dresser (White)

Honestly it is a dresser that does its job. I bought 1 for one kid and liked it so i bought another in a different color for my other kid. I am writing this because I read reviews for help when making purchases. If you don't got a lot of extra money like me this is a great purchase. Looks good, works good and doesn't cost a fortune. As far as putting together...I counted all my pieces and organized parts by the letters. If you take your time and go slow its totally doable. I am a young female thats not really the handy type so if I can do it anyone can.

DO NOT BUY THIS DRESSER. They say you get what you pay for but you don’t even get what you pay for with this dresser. When assembling we noticed the screw holes were not aligned and figure we were just dumb and it was supposed to be that way obviously that wasn’t the case as you can see it’s lop sided. The drawers are crooked, there’s gaps between the drawers, the top drawer is aligned with the top of the actual dresser, the bottom of the dresser is already ready to fall apart. It’s just not worth the hassle. If the dresser turned out how the photos looked then it would be fine although the instructions are horrible to follow but unfortunately that isn’t the case and it’s completely lop sided and wrong. I contacted the seller regarding this matter and I’m currently still arguing with them regarding a refund as they believe nothing is wrong with the dresser and they have seen the photos. This was for our babies nursery that’s due in six weeks but unfortunately we aren’t able to use it and the company won’t even give us our money back, instead they want to keep arranging for it to be picked up and costing us more money in the process because someone has to be here in order for it to get picked up. If it were up to them I would never get refunded and my kid wouldn’t have a dresser so I’ve already bought a dresser from Home Depot and haven’t had any issues with it and it looks great! Don’t spend your money with this company especially because it’s a third party distributor through amazon and amazon can’t do much to help you with refunds or broken product. SAVE YOUR MONEY!

They say you get what you pay for but I don't feel I even got my ~$80's worth. Terrible waste of money. Firstly, it doesn't come with the right pieces - the screws are too big, so you'll have to go out and buy your own. The picture they show makes me laugh because the dresser drawers don't actually go in all the way. You'll also want to grit your teeth every time you try to slide in a drawer because it makes this awful chalky sound, since the sizing isn't right. Cheaply made. I hope the seller's house is full of these horrible dressers.

Cheaper at Walmart, box came damaged. Scratched up the sides but on the bottom.Update*One drawer is and has been damaged, by damaged I mean the plastic pieces that hold the screws for the side of the drawer have been stripped and not holding the bottom of the drawer since purchase. Since purchase arrived all types of damaged. I’ve tried to tighten fix it several times. Contacted seller to see about drawer replacement, they told me to open a return and they’d go from there, not even 24 hours later the return was denied to “return time frame window”. After having this dresser and it being a very lightly used kids dresser in a spare bedroom (meaning no kids are going in and out of it, as I handle the clothing) with not even 20 lbs dispersed throughout the four drawers. I wouldn’t ever purchase it again. It’s cheaply made, drawers put together with plastic pieces that don’t properly fit and/or are stripped out. By the end of it, if primehome doesn’t replace the dresser drawer that has been damaged... simply by manufacturing parts, not broken, not bent up, I will have spent $70 on a dresser that’ll last another 4 months maybe without one drawer.Not to mention the box was damaged and the finish is scratched up on the bottom of the dresser and has been since shipping the broken box.

My rooms a mess and I haven’t finished the dresser because I’m missing the back! And the drawers are giving me a hard time pushing them all the way in. But I’ll have someone help me with that. The directions aren’t that clear on what screws to use but other then that i like the color and it’s not that difficult putting together. It just takes time.I thought it would be helpful to edit my review. What i wrote above is when I first got it. So now I will say. The drawers wouldn’t shut because I used to wrong screws. And like I said. The directions aren’t clear. U have to kind of guess. So once that was done. The dresser was great. But after a while. If you tend to split a lot of liquids on it the dresser will start to mold or tear apart. That is what happen to me.

***UPDATE***Well I can see why these dressers have such horrible reviews. After a little over a year we are looking at having to purchase 2 more dressers because these ones have fallen to pieces. They cannot handle the weight of the clothes in them without the bottom of the drawer falling out. The drawers are all crooked and some of them have cracked where the screws go so they can’t be fixed. I’ve been patching these damn dressers up since about a month after putting them together. PLEASE for your own sanity, just go with something a little less cheap, you will thank yourself later.***ORIGINAL REVIEW***I bought 2 of these dressers even though the reviews were mostly bad, because the price was good for someone like me who doesn’t have a ton of money to spend. I do see why some people struggled with them, but if you organize your parts and give yourself time, you will do just fine. The drawers are where you want to be extra careful, if you mess them up, they’re going to sit wrong like the other reviewers have shown. If you’re patient and focused throughout the assembly, the dressers will come out the way they’re supposed to. Shipping was okay, one of my dressers took forever to arrive while the other one came in 2 days. No damaged parts or missing pieces. Overall, I’m happy with this purchase. They feel sturdy despite the low price. If you’re on the fence, I say go for it!
