VGADVI Broadcaster - VGA, DVI, HDMI Video Encoder and Streaming Device

I have only had the device a short time, but I have recorded about 6 hours worth of picture in a picture video with it and the quality of the camera feed in the PowerPoint is great. At first the sound and video was out of sync after about 15 minutes of recording. Called tech support and they talked me through adjusting the frame rate and that took care of the problem. The tech support has been outstanding.

Bought this for recording/broadcasting college classes. It seemed like a good concept and a friend was happy with a different Epiphan product.After we received the unit we learned its very poor design -- the audio is synchronized with the channel of the slides, not the video channel and when in multi-stream mode its useless (cannot just have a talking persone.. the audio is on the other track). When watching the two stream mode the video of the person talking is 4-5 seconds behind the audio. When doing a single merged image its better maybe .5 to 1 second delay, but still unsable for direct broadcast -- i.e. it does not meet its intended purpose.For recorded video we could at least reprocess and resync the streams, but its added work that should not be necessary.After about 2 months of using it 4-5 hours per week, the unit started to lockup, fails to recorded on command and when it does record often the video locks up. Customer service has been horrible, most of the time they don't answer their online support system or return emails. I told them I'd write this review, and all I got was crickets.I don't expect I would ever buy another Epiphan product again. To help get the qualities across I'll do a video review using the unit, when I get a chance, but I suggest you avoid this product, and probably this company.

We have these devices installed in all of our locations. They enable us to conduct training presentations from any of those and to share them globally. With the cameras permanently connected, all we have to do is to plug in the presenter's laptop; easy!!! We will be switching to Epiphan's Lecture Recorder product moving forward so that we can also record these sessions.

Got here on time and works like it is supposed to.

Using the device for streaming and recording in a large auditorium. The device scales very nicely to adjust to different resolutions. Posted questions on the company's support site and got a lengthy and useful feedback.

This is a very portable streaming device, used it for streaming church services and without technical support, it was really easy to use.
