Awesome!
I’ve always wanted to make jewelry using coins, so I’ve been looking at different hole punch tools—and this one is amazing! It does require a bit of force, but as a woman, I can still punch holes easily by applying some body weight. This tool is going to make jewelry making so much easier from now on!

Works perfectly on Pennies
I initially bought this to punch a hole in a penny - it was easy to use and the hole is the perfect size. I didn't know I needed this handy little guy in my life, but it's really a great, high quality tool. I'll continue to use it for jewelry crafting and other misc projects for many years to come.

Heavy Duty Hole Punch
The media could not be loaded. Capri heavy duty hole punch.I'm glad I got this! It was in my wish list for almost a year. Decided to finally but the bullet and get it. I've been wanting to make holes in the washers for a long time and anything else I've tried, had failed me. Got the Capri and had to try it out almost s soon as it arrived because of it didn't work, I was sending it back.Well, to my amazement so far, it works! It was also quite easy to use and didn't require a lot of effort to punch through the washer I had! I was able to put it together swiftly without the instructions and without any knowledge of this kind of equipment as well. Be careful with the part you punch out, it flung out pretty good and I don't know where it went, lol. I think I'll put a bag on the bottom with a rubber band to keep them from flying around. As far as I can tell right now, this was a great purchase and worth it! Also comes with a 10 year warranty.

Great quality & clean cuts
While a bit pricy the build quality is great as well as the clean accurate cuts it provides. I just wish I had the ability to maneuver over angled lids better

This worked great!
I bought this to cut holes in sheet metal and I was afraid It was going to be difficult because most of the reviews were men but it was surprisingly easy for me and I am thrilled that it worked out. It seems very sturdy and should last a long time. I also like that the throat accommodated wider material to. I needed to make a hole that was 3/4 of an inch from the edge but it has the capacity for 2 inches in from the edge. It also came in a nice box for storage. It is also is I will tell you to open gently because it all just pops out (that is the only downside) otherwise it is awesome and works like a dream. I am super happy.

Just another Chinese Roper Whitney punch copy...
At 1/3 the cost of the official, original Roper Whitney tool I guess this one is serviceable. There’s a common characteristic among all these type of punches and that is a given amount of free-play or “slop” between the moving punch piece and the bore that it is supposed to slide within. For a punch to make clean holes in the thinner gauge materials there has to be an absolute minimum clearance between the punch tip and the receptacle for the tip. But, if the sliding punch wiggles side-to-side excessively the clearance between the punch tip and its receptacle has to also be equally large. If the clearance isn’t made available then the edge of the punch can get trapped on the edge of the receptacle hole. If this happens you probably won’t realize it until you bear down on the handle and hear a sickening “CRACK”. Too late, you just broke that one-sized punch pair. In my case, this punch kit was bought to replace an older (but identical) version that had two sets of broken punches caused by that common play in the parts. Buying a new and more recently-manufactured tool showed a slight improvement in quality but not the quantum improvement I was looking for. You see, I had some special engine exhaust gaskets that needed making and the gasket material is a graphite composition with a wire mesh reinforcement embedded in the soft graphite layers. A punch is the only practical device with which to make clean holes in this stuff. Forget about drilling, using a knife or any other cutting tools. Punch. The wire mesh is of a certain gauge thickness. The punch clearance has to be less than the diameter of the wires in the mesh otherwise there will not be the critical shearing action needed to cleanly create the hole in the material. This punch didn’t quite perform that task as I would have liked. Too much clearance in the punching pieces caused the wire mesh to partially cut and then leave a “hanging chad” (remember those from a Florida voting machine?) from the back side of the material. Fine-tipped wire cutters cleaned up the tag that was hanging off the gasket but I was hoping for better performance than that. Would a true Whitney hand punch perform better? I’ll never know because I’m not going to risk spending that much money on something that may have the same tolerances as this ‘budget’ punch.Other than that its quality seems decent enough. Time will tell how well it performs on ‘regular’ sheet materials such as metal and plastic.

Wow -- works as described, clean punch
I've used only the 3mm punch so far, but it is very impressive: I'm punching holes in both 36 gauge aluminum and 36 gauge brass sheets. Some punches won't punch the brass at all, and all other punches I tried left a chad or burr on the back of the hole. This punch leaves a totally clean hole. The pliers are large, too big for my hand, so I have to use them either with two hands if the sheet of metal can be held by a vise or C-clamp, or lying on their side on the work surface if I need to hold a smaller piece of metal with one hand. It is hard to see precisely where the hole is going to go with some sort of mark, but the punch has a central pin that is pretty easy to line up with a mark on the metal. Even better, if you use an awl or nail set and hammer and make a small indentation in the target metal, you can feel the pin in the center of the punch when it seats in that indentation, telling you when you have it positioned properly to give you the hole you want where you want it. After trying several punches, I am very glad to have found this one..
