I purchased this product because I am a teacher and we take our 8th grade students to Washington DC every June. We collect their phones at night (so they go to sleep!) and charge them for the next day. I was able to charge all 8 of my students phones at once, and only tie up one outlet. Just plug it in and there are 8 USB connections available. The other teachers were jealous - I think they will be purchasing one for next year's trip! This will also be handy when I go to Ireland later this year with my family. We can plug all our devices in at once to a single outlet. That is a big deal when every outlet will need a converter

First off, the product offers 8 ports of high speed charging. As advertised, it cuts down on the wall-wart collection and improves cable management, especially when paired with a few packs of retractable cables. So for function, 5/5 stars. Amazon asked how well this works for travel. I gave it 3/5 stars. Honestly, it is a bit bulky for travel and has a very heavy duty cord. But I didn’t buy one for travel…I bought three for my house. The only negative I have encountered is the green LED that indicates the unit has power. The LED is on the top of the unit and it is BRIGHT! This is not a problem in the kitchen, but I had to put three squares of duct tape over the one on my nightstand because it was like having a lamp on. Well, not quite a lamp, but I found it was waking me up. Electrical tape would have probably worked better, but mine was hiding at the time, so I used duct tape. While annoying, I didn’t feel it was worth knocking off a star because I had to add a small square of tape.

this NON-HUB 5v charging station is exactly what I've been looking for. one grounded plug connects eight 5V 2.4A ports, to charge all your usual devices. the photos over some ports indicate phones or tablets, but documentation notes that all ports can draw the full 2.4A. because this is not connected to the computer, I don't mind plugging in the high-drain devices such as batteries or speakers. the unit is small, with ports only on the top broad face. there are no mounting holes or brackets for placing out-of-sight; this is a shelf-top module. ports are active when the unit is plugged in; there are no switches for individual ports to turn on or off. I bought this to charge any or all of my electronic devices at the same time, without stressing my computer ports, and without taking up multiple wall sockets with many plug-in adapters. in this role, it works seamlessly.

Works really well. Simple to set up. Great for travel. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is the horrible green LED. I don't know why these keep being built into things. I covered it with several thin strips of electrical tape and it's mostly blocked.

I am thrilled with the purchase of this USB charging unit. I prefer purchasing and using portable electronic products that use a USB port for charging the unit. However, after years of frustration and aggravation of plugging and unplugging my devices into a wall outlet I purchased this USB charging unit NO MORE AGGRAVATION NO MORE FRUSTRATION. Plugging in my devices and removing my devices from the charging my devices is no longer a chore of bending, reaching and blindly searching for an electrical outlet when needing to charge my electronic devices. The product is well made and crafted from quality materials I started using thus device 2 days ago so I can't attest to its durability. However, I am anticipating that the charging unit will provide years of use due to the design of the product, the material used and the quality craftmenship evident when handling and viewing the unit.

I use this at home near my computer to charge all my gear. Recently we took it on a trip to Europe. Since it handles the 220 voltage there, we plugged it in to an adapter every night and used it to recharge our phones, batteries, watches and other electronics. Never an issue. Small and lightweight, easy to pack and go. We had 4-7 devices (batteries, phones, watches) plugged into it every night and they always charged without an issue. Note for computer users, this is NOT a powered USB hub, just a charging station. It does that job well.

I use this at home where my spouse and I both sit and charge our phones, tablets, Bluetooth devices and computers. It works great and helped get rid of the confusion of charging adapters and tangling cords, extention cords and bulky power port devices. Now just a clean area with one cord plugged into wall outlet and plenty of room for all usb cords to be inserted. Charges each device as well as it would if the device were plugged in by itself. Love this compact 8 port usb charger. Got an extra as a gift for my daughters family.

We go through AA batteries way too quickly in our house! Tired of the waste and the pollution, I found these Viri Rechargable batteries on the Sharper Image website. I can charge 8 batteries in under 2 hours. Unfortunately, as we all know, rechargable batteries do not last as long as Alkaline batteries but I'm OK with that. While they work, the light in the candles they light are at their brightest. I bought 2 of these sweethearts because I couldn't find any other USB chargers with more than 8 ports. Easy to use. Very satisfied! The 1st photo shows 14 batteries on 2 charging stations. The 2nd shows what the batteries look like while charging (Red). When fully charged, the lights go out.

Lo he usado diario con cinco dispositivos simultáneamente y no he tenido problema. Sin hacer pruebas mayores ni tomar tiempos creo que la carga en los puertos es constante . muy bueno para tenerlo en casa u oficina y usar tus cargadores en otros lugares o llevarlos contigo. I bought this USB charger to replace one from a different brand (Xtreme) with 6 ports, 4.8A capacity, and no grounded 3-proing plug. I was using it among my retro video games console setup with 6 different devices (video converters, etc.) plugged in, but I discovered there was some kind of electrical problem with that charger, which caused picture quality issues in my games. The problem was either that charger was overloaded, or the problem was with the lack of grounding - analog video sources are very sensitive to "noise" in their power supply. So I had to upgrade, and decided on this HITRENDS unit because it has a higher capacity of 10A, and uses a 3-prong grounded plug. When I pulled out the old unit and put this one in place, I have a clean picture again! Success! This HITRENDS USB charger is also much nicer than the old one. It is surprisingly heavy for its size, VERY solidly constructed, and the power cable is thick and well-shielded. It inspires a ton of confidence when you take it out of the box and feels like an actual "professional" piece of equipment! The review is asking me to assign stars to this device "for travelling" use, so in this category it gets 2-stars. While the solid construction means it works great for my purpose hidden away in my entertainment centre, it would not be good for traveling with - there are certainly smaller options out there.

I cannot say enough good things about this charging station. I bought this for a two-week long motorcycle trip to avoid bringing a ton of wall chargers (small motels have limited outlets). My partner and I always have a lot to charge, including helmet communication devices, phones, gps, go pros, etc. I'm very happy I got this with the eight usb plugs. It charged all eight of our devices quickly and with no issues...but keep in mind we had them plugged in all night. There is a very good amount of power that comes from this device. My only beef was the green LED light on the charging station was so bright in the middle of the night! It's good if you like a night light, but a small bit of electrical tape over the light works if you don't like any light. At the end of the day, I am using this all the time now. It's now our main charging hub at home. Convenient and works very well.
