Great little cables!
I was looking for some extra USB cables to keep in my laptop bag for use with my Macbook Air / iPhone 4S, and I came across this three-cable set. I've had other Griffin products before so I was expecting some decent stuff, but when the USB Mini-Cable Kit arrived, I was very pleased with what I received. I ended up leaving my iPhone cable and my external USB drive cable at home in favor of these. I don't personally have a need for the third mini-USB cable - but they're so small that I don't mind leaving all three cables in a small pocket on my laptop bag just in case. The cables are thick and feel very strong compared to thinner, more trouble-prone cables out there (including Apple's cables included with iPhones/iPads) and the plugs all fit very well. Their lengths are perfect when I want to charge my iPhone with my laptop's USB port, and I can work on my laptop without worrying about extra length of cable getting in the way of my mouse or my hands. The cables have some flex in them but not enough to twist - I'm not sure if this next observation is applicable with all devices, but with the combination of my Macbook Air, iPhone 4S, and external hard drive, the cable plugs are situated so that there's no twisting needed - in other words, when plugged into my laptop, my iPhone sits face up, and my external hard drive sits right-side up. With cables this short you can't expect to use them in instances where you definitely need a longer cable - such as if you want to charge from an AC plug using a USB charge block (like iPhone wall chargers) - they're not designed for that purpose, so it wouldn't be fair to call their length a fault. In fact it's their length that makes them as useful and convenient as they are, and the price is right for the quality and utility. I've recommended these cables to anyone who's asked me for some good OEM replacements, and once I explain to them why they're so convenient, they end up buying the cable set for themselves.

Perfect Set of Cables for Lightweight Tangle-Free Travel
If you need to pack light and don't have the patience for tangled cables, this set is perfect. As you can see, it includes a mini-USB, a micro-USB, and an Apple-specific cable. All three will sync and charge. The entire set weighs next to nothing and takes up almost no space in your bag. For those of us espousing one-bag travel, these are simply the best way to go. Another advantage of their short length and rigidity is that the cables can't really suffer any wear from being bent around and tied up for storage. I know it sounds unlikely, but I've had my iPhone cable die mid-trip on me before because the cable just gave out from being twisted and bent around so much. Naturally, that can't happen with these. To me, being able to know that my cable is going to work is worth it. Just to be fair, their short length means that you'll need to be close to whatever it is you're going to plug into. These aren't going to reach from a hotel wall outlet to the table. Rather, these are perfectly designed for connecting your device to a laptop while it's sitting on a desk.

Nice, simple, appear durable
Nice, simple, and appear be made of very good construction. I have used all 3 so far and they appear to fit nice and snug on both sides of each cable. I have used them with a battery pack, wall charger, and laptop computer, and so far no issue. They travel well due to their small size. From what I have seen so far, I look forward to years of easy use.

Great quality, very well made, durable, easy to carry, work with all my devices - Excellent product.
Apple cables are fragile & expensive but I need carry one all the time, also a camera cable and a phone charger. These Griffin cables got a great review on LifeHacker. I've had them for more than a year, they've had hard use every day & they're as good as new. The camera cable got soaked and was fine after it dried out. I've bought a few more sets as presents and gotten nothing but good feedback. EDIT - 3 years later they are all still in great shape - sync & charge, no splits or cracks.

Good but with a low life.
The connectors didn't last as long as I thought they should have. It might have something to do with the length of the Cable which forces the connector to bend instead of the cable bending. I wouldn't buy them again because the length becomes more of a problem than an asset.

3 essential USB Adapters in a Compact user ready/friendly format
Work great! bought: 3 months ago. * I will update if time changes performance or view on product. Product: * Apple product USB adapter * Mini USB adapter * Micro USB adapter Travel: * Commute by bus to work * Fly to Guatemala from Seattle every 6 months * Or work from home Attributes: * compact: ** Do not take a lot of room in bags or on desk ** No wires to coil up, de-tangle or manage ** Easy to get in and out of bag, easy to use and put away * Flexible: ** Will allow for a quarter turn comfortably. ** I suppose you could crank a half turn, but that would put pressure on USB ports. ** Will flex to offset down or up to your device. Allowing only minimal pressure on USB ports What I use them for: * Charging: ** I-Phone, ** I-Touch 2,3,and 4, ** I-pod Nano, ** Motorola S10-HD Bluetooth headphones, ** Kindle * Info exchange: ** I-Phone, ** I-Touch 2,3,and 4, ** I-pod Nano, ** Kindle, ** cameras(plural), ** HDD camcorder, ** External hard drive. Apple adapter: works fine for all my apple products. My four kids, wife, and myself have I-products thus the list of multiple products. The apple adapter does not have the locking pegs on the side. This can be a plus or a minus depending on how you look at it. Yes, your I-product will slip off if you are moving around with it, BUT you will not damage the I-product or your computer USB port by letting the wire hold onto the product in case of a fall. (I have a 3g I-touch that does not work anymore do to this). These are 3 essential USB adapters in a compact, user friendly format. Ideal for the commuter, Traveler, or person that just wants to keep their desk top clear of clutter and tangled wires. I recommend these, I would by them again. Just throwing an update in (12-5-11) Still love these. Work as described above. I have had no issues with them and have bought a second set. This second set had the locking pegs on the sides of the apple adapter. I use them all the time.

Well built, exactly what I was looking for
I'll admit that I sometimes get excited about small thing, and these little cables are one of the things that excite me! Maybe it's because although they're very simple, they do exactly what I need them to do and they do it well. What does it mean that these tiny cables do their job well (after all, they don't have a very difficult job to do)? Mostly, that they are very well built, solid, and I just never have to worry that they're going to break apart. They are only a couple of inches long, but I've found this to be perfect. I use them exclusively plugged into my iPad power adapter, so that they'll be able to power up any device relatively quickly. They easily fit into my bag (I actually keep them in Cocoon CPG7BK GRID-IT Organizer, 9.25 x 7.25 Inch, Black ) without any clutter. I can't imagine keeping three average length charging cables loose in my bag. OK, I can imagine it because I used to do it, and it was awful. Previously, before I went away, I'd have to try and find the charging cable for each device I brought with me (typically a GoPro, iPhone, iPad, battery powered USB charger). Now, I never worry because the chargers stay in my house and these cables are ready to charge any USB device I may have, wherever I go. One reviewer mentioned that they don't have a lock for iPhone, but Apple supplied dock connectors have not had that lock on them for some time! However, these do fit perfectly into an iPhone and can hold the iPhone securely in place when dangling from the cable.

A good value even if you can use only 2 (better if your gadgets require all 3--but don't forget the Lightning connector!)
It's reassuring to receive a brand-name cable at a reduced price and (surprise!) in a faux-suitcase (with plastic handle). The bulk of the "suitcase" is made of thin cardboard, easily torn and therefore no longer a handy-dandy, versatile "traveling kit" answering to your various "connectivity issues" -- moreover, owners of recently acquired Apple equipment will require at least one additional cable. (After seeing the final episode of "Mad Men," I'll concede that some of life's greater connectivity challenges might best be addressed by finding some friends, sitting in a circle, and humming "OM" together. I tried it alone, and it works--both as a conceptual trigger and a perceptual healer bridging the space separating us from one another and our authentic, "gadget-free" selves). In the world of materialistic gadgetry, the equivalent of "OM" is wireless technology, such as Bluetooth and Apple's Air Play (it never ceases to amaze me that I can activate my printer and run off pages of text "long distance," with a mere click of my iPod). But nothing is as dependable as a hard-wired connection--providing that it's a dependable cable to begin with. These shorties from Griffin are effective both at charging and synching, and you have a choice of three different connectors: 1. the "dock connector" is useful for older iPods and iPhones; 2. the "micro" connector is required for Kindles (readers and Fire tablets) as well as storage batteries and most Android devices; 3. the "mini" connector is seeing increasingly less use as people opt for phone cameras instead of a Canon, Nikon, Olympus, etc. digital camera. But for those of us who still use dedicated cameras and who retain a suspicion of the dependability of the wireless connectivity most new models offer, the mini connector is needed for "dumping" the contents of your camera into a computer's software program. There is no Lightning connector in this collection, which will reduce its usefulness to owners of Apple equipment of the past 3 years. On the other hand, for $6 or $7 it may be easy to rationalize purchase of this set for only 2 of the connectors. (As others have mentioned, the extra short cables can be annoying. Say you're charging a phone and trying to use it at the same time--actually, don't say it. Practice it. It's not that easy, balancing a phone and portable charging battery in one hand, being extra careful not to jostle them and dislodge the connection. You may decide that spending more on 4 cables, each 3 feet in length, is the more prudent, practical choice.)

An excellent addition to my daily carry - tangle-free
An excellent addition to my daily carry - tangle-free, saves space in my bag, and allows me to leave the original cables for my stuff on my desk, so heading out to work is just a matter of slinging my laptop in my bag and heading out the door. Trousers! OK, laptop in bag, put on trousers, head out door. Can get a bit chilly and arrested-for-public-indecency-y otherwise. But that is not the fault of the Griffin USB Adapter Mini Cable Kit. Don't go blaming a perfectly useful piece of technology for your general lack of- What? Yes I know all about The Incident. Your ex told me ALL about it. We talked and laughed and laughed and drank Japanese Single Malt together and stayed up to watch the sun rise and- Oh get over yourself. You sabotaged that relationship all by yourself and you know it. From what I hear, heading out to work with your Laptop and the Griffin USB Adapter Mini Cable Kit isn't the *only* time you have trouble keeping your drawers on. The thing is, your ex knew from the beginning. It's not like you made any special effort to hide it. I think you wanted to get found out. Your ex put up with it so that you would get it out of your system, eventually - and then I guess the thought was, well two can play at that game. What's the harm if you're both cheating? Why not? For a while, your ex thought that would be an tolerable way to live, cheating on each other and just pretending it's all OK, but it wasn't. It was too late to confess, too late to forgive, so the only thing to do was burn it all to the ground, salt the earth and move on. No, I don't mean literally. The fire in your apartment building was nothing to do with it, just some drunk kid microwaving a baked potato with a fork in it. Don't be paranoid. I'm not trying to shame you here. People do dumb stuff, and none of us are exemplary human beings at every time in every aspect of our lives. I'm just saying that to grow, to move on, to become a better version of yourself, you need to accept that the responsibility for this situation lies with YOU. Not your ex. Not me. And certainly not the Griffin USB Adapter Mini Cable Kit. …which is, incidentally, a very handy wee bit of gear.
