Comprehensive Exam Review for the Pharmacy Technician (Test Preparation)

This book is the best one out there if you plan to take the PTCB exam. It comes with a cd rom that has 600 different questions on it and each question on there is alot like what would be on the real thing. It is the closest thing to the test. I just got done with the test a few days ago and passed my first time with the help of this book and the cd rom that came with it. Almost all of the questions from my test came off of this cd rom. However, this book does not explain the math portion very easy. I would recommed getting a math calculation book seperate, and the best book for the job is "complete math review for the pharmacy technician" by William A. Good luck with the test!

When I finished the online course I was taking I just wanted another view from a different author.....a different text book to review for the exam. The pharmacology unit in this book is very good and the review questions and exams at the end of book are helpful but the Calculation unit does not do the job.....and you need a lot of practice with calculations for the exam. I passed the exam last week & feel I could have passed with the books I received from the course. If you need an additional book to help you review for calculations I would suggest The Pharmacy Technician Workbook & Certification Review, 4th Edition.

at Barns and Nobel it was over twice the price!Thank you very much it was just what I needed. The CD with the bonus questions is amazingly helpful in applying what I had read in several books to very well written questions. Not to mention the immediate feedback it provides on your comprehension of the material.

This book was a good study tool for the PTCE, I passed. There were some topics that weren't covered in this book but it did a good job overall for studying. The CD was also a good study tool as well.
