Very pocketable
This is an ideal pocket carry multi-tool. It's not for big jobs, just the odd small job.Includes small spring-loaded pliers with wire cutters. The plier tips fit together perfectly. The scissors are tiny, as are all the tools, but that's because the whole tool is very small. Scissors are good for cutting the odd thread, small trimming jobs, but not cutting a sheet of paper in two.The knife blade is 35mm long, well within the UK limit. It doesn't lock in any position. The blade has a small flat spot, so needs a little bit of work honing the edge. The box cutter tool is very useful, easier and safer than the knife blade for opening packages. There's two small flat head screwdrivers, one of which has a file each side. To be honest, these are so small as to be of little use, and because the one with the files is next to the keyring loop, the access is restricted more. The bottle opener is a steel unit, and effective. I've seen some bottle openers that have deformed in use, but this one will not. Finally, there's a tiny set of tweezers set in the handle. The tip doesn't meet perfectly, but it's perfectly adequate for removing small splinters etc.Overall, a very useful pocket tool for minor jobs, and a very reasonable price for a good quality tool.

Every tool maker should have one. Happy to recommend
I have several of these. I do not follow the dimensions given in the description and some buyers appear to have been misled. This is a small folding pliers which can be kept on a key ring. All works well, save for the file in the black version which is spoiled by being painted. It is OK on the unpainted stainless versions. The paint on all of these becomes scuffed very quickly.I do not really get the box opener. Perhaps it could be used for peeling oranges? One broke after a few years. A piece which locks the pliers snapped off. It was replaced quickly without fuss. The quality and hardness of the metal is superior to Leatherman but inferior to Victorinox.Happy to recommend.

Good little edc
Uk legal, sturdy and decent quality for the price.I used to have the leatherman squirt ps4 but this recently broke and leatherman have discontinued it, so I can’t get it repaired or replaced. I would have preferred another PS4 but that isn’t going to happen. The Gerber dime is the closest thing that I can find to it in size, functions and quality. It’s not quite as good but it’ll do the job.

What to have in your pocket.
Very good quality, small but useful for all those small jobs. Knife and scissor very sharp. 👍

Disappointing, but so's the Leatherman Squirt at twice the price
Such a great idea, but nobody makes keyring pliers that are any good. I've owned both. Here's a rundown:Pliers: Dime surprisingly good. Squirt wobbly and rivet broke.Knife: Dime nice shape and fairly good steel. Squirt too soft and weird single bevel feels unnatural.Bottle opener: Dime easy and strong, but waste of space on the outside. Squirt small and fiddly, but fine for occasional use.Big flat screwdriver: Dime nice shape and reasonable steel. Squirt funny profile and too soft.Flat crosshead screwdriver. I think these are for emergency use by gripping 2 of the four sides. Dime surprisingly good on PZ2. Squirt weird shape no good for anything, and too soft.File: Dime on the stubby screwdriver, too short to be of any use. Squirt best bit of the tool, fine on one side, course on the other, and even has teeth for an emergency saw, which is remarkabley good.Scissors: Dime totally unusable, appear to be left handed, but weird shape regardless. Squirt usable, but not up to Victorinox standards.Box opener: unique to Dime, funny looking but rather brilliant.Keyring attachment: Dime is fixed, Squirt moves around the pivot, helping move your keys out of the way in use, which is much better.Finish: Dime pretty rough, with weird pointy edges. Squirt very good, but I guess it's easy for them to polish the soft steel.Overall, for me the Dime wins as it's half the price, better steel, and crucially can be dismantled with 2 T9s and 2 T7s (the Squirt is riveted). So I transplanted the scissors and keyring attachment from the broken Squirt, removed the bulky bottle opener (you can use the side of the pliers of you really need to), filed off the rough edges, and reassembled with some grease and threadlock. It's now pretty good, but I wish someone made a good keyring pliers on the first place!

Great little tool
Always on me and became my go to EDC tool.So small and lightweight you don’t notice it’s there. Looks good, need two hands to open, but not an issue. Great price I’ve got 2. The Pliers work really well, for light use.

Absolute junk - Pliers broke with the very first light use.
I bought the Gerber Dime to put in an Altoids EDC tin. I was skeptical when I opened the box as it seems to be exactly the wrong amount of fragile for a multi tool. The very first time I needed the tool for the pliers they broke and have stuck in the half open position. It's a real shame as the tool has some nice features and is the perfect size for a Altoids tin. Unfortunately I now need to source a new tool and will probably look to Leatherman Style if I can source one.
