DAYUAN Front Wheel Bearing Puller Tools 85 mm for VW T5 Touareg Multivan

First class tool for VW T5 wheel bearings. Make sure to thoroughly wire brush all vehicle components before trying to use this tool as tolerances are tight. Remember it’s the black half moons for pulling the bearings out and silver ones for pushing new bearings in. When pushing in the new bearings, make sure that the collar that fits in the rear of the swing arm if not likely to get stuck by rust or you will find it extremely difficult to remove after use. I actually used my belt sander to remove the finish and probably a couple of thousands of an inch from the circumference of the collar. It must seat fully and rotate before you attempt to fit the new bearings. I can’t stress that fact enough. Also before use, grease the large threaded rod and in particular, make sure the silver bearing near the bolt head has plenty of grease in it. Used correctly, this tool will pay for itself over and over again.

Absolutely magic. Watched a couple of you tube videos then got cracking. Make sure you greese the tool threads and bearings. Worked no problem. Actually really surprised how well it worked. I didn't remove the abs sensor and managed to change bearing without breaking it.

I was sceptical about this product due to some of the reviews. However it did the job no problems removing and replacing the bearings on the rear of my 2014 VW T5.1. There are no instructions but watch some decent videos online and you can't go wrong. Black shells and small silver back disc are for removal. Silver shells and large black disc for replacing bearings. The black shells are tight to fit hence why people have said bolts are too short. They just need some gentle taps and this closes the gap to get the bolt in. Cleaning everything up and making sure the bearing is square going in is key. Was going to buy a more expensive one but went for this as it was next day delivery and I needed it quickly. Pleased with it, did the job and nothing broke despite lots of pressure being required especially on removal .

Was going well. Until it didn’t. Bearings from the product exploded with shards of metal and flurry of ball bearings hitting me and flying around the workshop. I’m sure it works sometimes but wear glasses or put on your best safety squint

I dont do reviews ever . But I was that impressed with this tool I had no choice . Used on a t6 front 85mm bearing it was effortless. After reading a few reviews and picking out the best tips I carried out the removal . Using a 30mm spanner and a 22m socket on the front threads all well oiled it took no time to pull . Note the push pegs have a small o ring that's the side to put into the plate . Don't use a nut runner the threads won't take it . Use the black half rings to pull the chrome to refit . Take your time and you will be as impressed as I was .

The bad reviews of stripped threads or faulty thrust bearing must be one offs, I've absolutely hammered this set with my big impact gun and breaker bar and there's no issues at all. The only improvement I can suggest is it has more holes drilled in the plate for different stud patterns.

I never leave reviews for anything, but this kit deserves it. I was quoted £350 to change the front wheel bearing on my VW T6 transporter so figured I’d give this kit a go myself. Once I’d detached the suspension and driveshaft from the hub, this kit attaches perfectly and makes ease of removing the bearing. It didn’t take much effort to release the bearing either so was surprised to see it was being pulled out with no issues. When doing the reverse and fitting the new bearing it’s worth noting that you need to line the bearing up and ensure it goes in evenly, however, if it’s slightly out at one side, give it a bit of pressure and it does pull itself in to be even with the other sides. Another tip is when you’re almost all the way in with the new bearing, release the bolts so the flanges of the kit are loose, then give it another few turns in as this ensures the bearing is pulled snug into the hub. If you don’t loosen the bolts you will end up with the flanges stuck and you’ll struggle to remove them. All in all a brilliant little kit which made the job super easy. Well pleased.

Tool removed and installed rear wheel bearing on 2017 transporter, no instructions in box however they were sent by email, but I had already worked out how to use the tool and hhad done the job before I received the instructions. Well made tool and good value for money.
