Pertronix 1283P6 45011 Ignitor II 6 Volt Positive Ground and Flame-Thrower II - 45,000 Volts .6 Ohm Coil Kit for 49-53 Ford 8 Cylinder

The pertronix ignitor needs a 1.5 ohm coil. I installed this kit in my 48 Ford flathead v8. After the engine warmed up it started stumbling and backfiring, made worse with the lights on due to the voltage drop. Within 200 miles both the ignitor and coil burned up from overheating and I was barely able to keep the wheels turning, I stumbled back home at 20 MPH backfiring and shooting flames from the exhaust.Do not buy this combination!
